While I was lying sick in my bed, I made a subliminal discovery in a daydream...

THE ITEMS ARE COMING FROM SMASHBOARDS!!
Sounds stupid I know, but hear me out.

Doesn't the "gooey bomb" bear a little similarity to this?

That one may be a little hard to make the connection, but check this out:

The CANNON. This was MY idea. It's QUITE similar to the cracker launcher.

LOOK AT THE WAY KIRBY HOLDS IT!
(From a .gif I made on 10-15-2006, 10:21 PM, OVER 6 MONTHS AGO!!)

Which can be compared to...

Coincidence? I think not! What's next?? Stone status!?

I wouldn't be surprised if the big N has heard or checked out this site before due to its size and popularity. But idk...this seems almost too big. But it is very similar

The items are pretty similiar but I doubt that they would really copy items directly. Although, you never know, a couple of bodyguards from Nintendo could be tracking you down right now.

Oh wow, a big heavy weapon kirby holds over his head! Such a resemblance!

And a sticky thing!

WOW THEY REALLY MUST BE STEALING THEIR FAN'S IDEAS, HUH GUISE?

(That was sarcasm, in case it wasn't obvious enough)

I know the idea of it is nice, but highly unlikely. It's possible that people in the development team browse forums for ideas or insight, because anything is possible. However, the idea of a cannon is so common, and besides, I heard that the Cracker Launcher is from Kirby Air Ride.

You mean the ones where you berate people?
QFT, you're a really aggressive poster and you really seem like an a-hole.

Yeah, the glue globe seemed a little more like the gooey bomb when I came up with the thread,
but maybe the cannon really IS a coincidence. But remember, there wasn't a cannon that Kirby held like that in SSBM. SNBM.

Sakurai is one of the members who posted in this thread. He probably comes to SWF to see my posts since he loves me.

If the items were inspired from SWF. SSBB will be broken since the Item suggestions are crappy.

Worst case scenario.
Smash Bros. Developer: "Oh gee, what should I create now? Let's browse this forums called Smashboards. Oh wow, that's a good idea, but I can't use it directly, so let's alter some things to it, to make it less obvious I took it from a board."

Yup, worst case scenario.

Visiting from above.
Nice try, but this is just coincidence. Kirby holds a large gun like that over his head because he has to. His arms wouldn't look right holding it to the side. They aren't long enough. And the Gooey Bomb could be more attributed to Halo than to any of us.
