Drill kick??? It has changed game to game, and I wonder what will become of it?? It was a crazy damage and killing machine in SSB, almost every good character had one, and it was just so strong feeling... But in SSB:M, it became weak, sometimes you could hit someone who had 500% with one and it would not kill them, even if they were over the edge, they feel very very weak, and they are easily countered, except for fox's and jiggly puff's (Fox's is still weak, but it is hard to counter it if they L cancel a shine in your face, and juggly puff actually has a good one, but it is still not nearly as good as her SSB self's)

Anyways, post thoughts and comments about this, I personnally hope they are good, but a little less potent than the SSB's drills, those things were unstoppable, spiking you with the priority (sp) of swords (I think kirby's feet are paddles though)

Other than Fox's drill, I'd like to see some combo potential in the drill kicks--not as great as it was in SSB, but improved from Melee. In the original, pretty much every character with a drill could combo with it, whether it was Jiggly's drill>uptilt chain>rest or Fox's drill>utilt>drill>utilt etc. and then drill>jab>usmash, or drill>grab (which pretty much every character could do except maybe Kirby).

well hey, the throws got jacked up (in the bad way) into Melee, so maybe they too will be undone.

Hmm, well, I for one hope there are a lot more ways to get out of a combo, but there are a lot of ways to keep them in the combo, so after a good combo, you know that you predicted them, owned them, and then did 90% to them, yeah, that is a great feeling

As for getting out of the drill, possibly DIing out of it, like the PAL version? or European version? It was hell for Fox to infinite Peach cuz she could DI it. I think that gave Peach an edge against Fox, which is good.

So, DI out of Drill. Give it its meteor smash properties back? IDK, kirby was kinda good back in the original...lol

Actually, Kirby was the special case. No other characters could spike with the drill and instead used it for combos. Everyone feared Fox's drill>utilt>drill>utilt>...>drill>jab>usmash combo and for those who couldn't DI, Jigglypuff's drill>utilt chain>rest/fsmash. Even when the opponent could DI enough to prevent the opponent from chaining it with another attack, it still added ~20% damage.
