In summary of his impresssions..

Yes, it is still in, but the way you have to execute the airdodge is different. The direction you are traveling in is the direction you will airdodge. Meaning if you jump and airdodge immediatly, you will fly into the air with your dodge.

Meaning, you can only waveland. There is also a tactic where you do an attack close to landing, and you will slide, but I don't think this is fully understood.

Nope. At least, not as we knew it before.

Brawl is using a Momentum Air Dodge, whereas Melee used a Directional Air Dodge. What that means is that in Melee, if you jammed a direction on the control stick while dodging, you dodged in that direction. That's what allowed for Wavedashing. In Brawl, you can't dodge in a direction anymore. You just dodge in whatever direction you happen to be travelling. So if you're falling, you'll keep falling. If you're jumping up, you'll keep rising. The upside of that is that now, after a dodge, you can still attack, double-jump, dodge again, use a B move, etc. You aren't dead in the air like you were in Melee.

There's been some theorizing that Peach or other characters (Lucas?) could have a new type of Wavedash, using a new type of Waveland and their Double-Jump Cancel. For more information, check out Gimpyfish's thread, stickied at the top of General Brawl Discussion.

From my understanding, you cannot Waveland by dodging. Dodging is Momentum-Based, you'll just land normally. It has to be done with attacks that pull you in a certain direction and the new L-Cancel, like Bowser's Bair.

It is NOT done with the air dodge in any way whatsoever...

wavedashing isnt in brawl, because of the whole lack of directional air dodges. this has been known for quite a while.

there is, like mentioned above, momentum dodging, also using some arial attacks that send you in a certain direction in brawl, and when landed can make your character slide along the ground.
also, lke mentioned above, a character with a jump cancel may be able to wavedash, but just not in the same sense as in melee.

basicaly, there is another form of wave dashing(called momentum dodgeing) but its not as effective.
