Is this hack possible?

I know everyone here uses Game Cube controllers, and that's fine. I know everyone here thinks they are the best controllers, that's fine. I also know everyone here thinks you can't use any other controller in competitive play, and I think that's bull. I use the Wii-mote & Nunchuck combo and I have all the things the GameCube does, (almost.) With custom controllers, I can turn the D-pad into a C-stick, and I can change the C button to grab, but what I don't have, (Or really need) is a jump button. So I was wandering if this hack was possible.

Can you make the - button on the Wii-mote playable? So I could use it as grab.

I think there's a code for limitless control configuration.
I think he means making it so the - key is usable at all in which case I don't think it's possible and think you should use a gc controller 'cause is has more buttons and a faster reaction time, or just keep tap jumping on.

There is.

To be honest that's as close as you get. If you can't use the - button on the Wiimote normally then I doubt anybody will take the time to make it work. It's too much work. Possible? Yes. Is it going to happen, probably not. Just play with a GC controller if you don't like it.z

I use a wiimote+nunchuck too btw, I'm not saying GC is better, though it probably is. :/

brawl doesn't recognize the - button when your using the nunchuck(even though it does recognize it when your using a button activator). it could be possible, but like dabridge said, no coder is going to make it since most competitive players use GC

Brawl does "recognise" the - button being pressed, just as it "recognises" analogue presses of L/R. But it does not tie any function to them. The L/R problem is even more complicated than that, actually, but it's not really worth explaining.

I don't know why they don't give the option for us to use the - button. I might be able to properly use Wiimote+Nunchuck if I can set the - button as special.
