Is melee worth playing?

What are you people saying? Brawl is going to be like an easier version of melee with different characters, levels, and items (stay with me here; I have a point). But because brawl is going to be easier, it will be more fun for noobs to pick up and less fun for the pros who spent irretrievable hours of their lives....oh who am I kidding, the people who are dominginating melee right now are going to find a way to dominate brawl in the future, no matter how much wimpier and less competitive of a game it is, but melee will still be worth playing, and at the risk of writing a novel, here, I will not explain why, but it will be obvious when brawl comes out, you'll see what I mean.

Since brawl is coming out soon (screw the fact that it's delayed again), I was wondering if melee would give you extra practice for brawl. Besides that it's a whole new game, most of the concepts and gameplay are the same.

I don't want to waste time playing a game that's going to be soon forgotten, but then again, I don't want to wait till February. Help?

Brawl and melee are so going to be so different from each other, so you might have to choose between melee or brawl.
