Is jigglypuff actually good now?

I kept seeing people’s tier list and surprisingly jiggly isn’t at the bottom like in every game. Even though tier list aren’t always accurate but they’re helpful. Does anyone knows if she is good because I love playing her but she always sucks.

Hbox has shown off some cool stuff with her on his stream. It’s likely she may have some competitive presence as the months go by.

So far the rest setups that I've tested like up tilt -> rest seem easier to hit. I haven't tested DI but a number of other setups seem to work pretty well also. Her aerials are a bit better than Smash 4 because they are faster overall, but you can still get caught in a vulnerable position if you try to hit someone's shield with a forward air for instance. Overall, I'm no expert but I think she will be better than the Smash 4 version, but I don't think she will be top tier. Either way, as someone who enjoys playing Jiggs, I'm excited!

Well I mean, B tier in 64 and A tier in Melee doesn't sound like they're in the bottom to me. Shoot, Hbox is currently the best smash Melee player and he mains Jigglypuff. Only Brawl/4 is she on the bottom of the list.

But as for Ultimate. I'm no puff guy, but I have seen some clips of combos before launch and how Hbox has been using her lately. I think I can at least say she'll be viable. She definitely looks more promising than she ever has in the past 2 smash games.

She's at least somewhat decent this time around in my opinion especially compared to her past two incarnations.

This might have been better to discuss in her character board or threads.

I assume he meant that he likes to stay in the air and use aerials since her ground attacks aren't great? She doesn't have any projectiles so I assume that's it
