Is Ike REALLY nessasary for brawl?

I Seriously think that Ike is just a waste of space in the SSBB Roster...what do you all thing?...i thought Ike would be fast as Roy or Marth.. he's a bit slow and really is a couard....Nintendo would of at LEAST put in another another to replace him....i vote him out....lets see what you guy's think..

look at the moves Ike has for his Up Special (Up-B) he takes his time picking up his sword...but the good side is that he doesent take damage...and reap his decription...TWO-hand sword and he uses on hand to use it...with a little common sence...right there it proves hes going to be a slow character....slow as ganon

haha you see..most people like Ike..but for what reason he is a corward..and they showed his Up Survival Move and if you read the decription and see the pictures its a obviouse fact he would slow as ganondorf......i usally play as samus i just need to post something..im partt of smashboards now..

Let me handle this, first off ganon is not a sword user in SSBM, we don't know what he be like, or even if he well be in brawl. and that sword is more of a hand and a half sword. and heavy does not = slow.

Your logic is a little strange, he uses a two-handed sword but can use it with one hand. He's obviously veeeeeeery strong. I don't think the sword is going to slow him down if he's that strong. So no, that's not proof, not even what I said is proof, it's kinda up to the people who make the game. With a little common sense... You should also check your spelling. It's only somthing some flame-happy people can use against you.

Ganon was supposed to have a sword in Melee(hence the victory pose with that huge Darknut sword)and he will most likely have the Sword of Sages for Brawl.

People know Ike. There are Fire Emblem fans that like Ike. Ike looks like a beast. It appeals to many gamers so they can buy the game to play him. Even people who don't know much about Fire Emblem will probably like Ike because he's a strong character and looks good. Putting Ike in Brawl increases sales for Nintendo. That's why he's necessary.
