Interesting (to me at least) stuff about reserving Brawl

I did it here in Sweden a while ago.

Considering that the game has been seriously delayed (Honestly, this is pissing me off! >_<), however, I could have just as well pre-ordered it a lot later. :/
Also live in Sweden and pre-ordered it ages ago. But it is not confirmed that it is delayed to Q2-3, we can always hope.

I pre ordered m Brawl way back. The very first week that they were taking reserves, I reserved one. Also, I asked the guy at my local gamestop if there will be a midnight release, and he said probably. That makes me very happy.

I reserved my copy waaaay early, back in August. I doubt there will be a midnight release though, especially considering that my local Gamestop is notorious for getting late shipments.

Pre-ordering has always seemed like such a waste to me. Even for the most hyped games (i.e. Halo) I have never had a problem going out to (insert local department store here) and picking the game up off the shelf the day of the release.
The only possible reason I can think of would be if you know you can't pick up the game on release day or you live in a smaller community that only has one store that sells games.
