Another example of poor techniques by companies regarding piracy is Nintendo. They claim that using ROMs to obtain old NES games that aren't even in circulation anymore is 'illegal'. I fail to see why it's bad to download a game that even if it was bought from a store that carries that, Nintendo wouldn't see a penny.

A lot of companies just enforce copyrights for extra pocket change, unfortunately.

And I have to make a comment in regards to the ignorance of the music industry. Do they fail to realize that more and more people are turning to piracy everyday and that it will be them, not the recording artists, that will be feeling it the most?

Musicians make very little money from CD sales. Most of there cash comes from tours and royalties. Even if the recording companies go out of business, musicians will find a way to continue to make CDs, regardless.

Intellectual property is stomped over like a hobo on the streets. Everyone steals things, whether it be ideas, music, or movies. Piracy is so easy to do, plus sometimes kids don't even know they're doing it. It won't matter anyways, because It's not a huge strain. Rappers or Bands will get their share of money for tv appearences, commercial appearences, and anything else. It won't cost them half their money or a platinum record, less than a 1/4 of sales are down. With idiots like 50 Cent doing nothing and getting quadruple platinums, they better not complain about piracy.
