What TL should not rely on? Uhhh.... If you can do it, do it rofl. If you are in a position to spike why wouldn't you? T.link's spike is very good, so it's a safe bet that you'll get the kill. Very nice video by the way.

....wow? I was just pointing out an extreme obvious. How is it incorrect? If you are in a position to spike, you spike. It's just simple logic. Tell me something about my post that is wrong, because I don't see any error, it's just too basic of a statement.

Gosh I'm blind after watching that video - flashes got annoying.

Spikes that most opponent's could easily avoid, but I guess it's a combo video and I can't really judge you or your opponent's skill from it.

Next time you make a combo video, don't put so many effects in, it hurts mine (and others') eyes lol.

Thanks tips. I thought I was being obvious, and then you say this. If they can airdodge, you are not in the position to spike. Or at least you better be at least 75% sure that they won't dodge.

This is Brawl, so they can pretty much always airdodge.
Times to Spike:
You have very high damage and they have very low
Last-ditch effort
You have a perfect opening ie. Donkey Kong's Up-B

Good vid. A little spike heavy, which TL really should not rely on, but still great

The thing is I never suggested that T.link should rely on the spike. This video just consisted of a few spikes, and he criticized that the player relied to heavily on spikes. Clearly the spikes won him the matches, and even if his opponents were absolute trash, that doesn't mean he should stop using the spike. When it comes to winning, anything goes, and that isn't just a T.link exclusive, it relates to any character and any match-up. I simply said, if you can spike, spike. Simple right? How can anyone say I am wrong? Again, it's just so simple. And in response to demonictoonlink, you are right those are the times to spike, which is exactly what I said. IF YOU ARE IN A POSITION TO SPIKE, THEN SPIKE! There are other chances to spike as well, like snakes recovery, maybe during D3's, spacies recovery, any recovery really as they go for the ledge, because they certainly can't airdodge through it.
