that's interesting...i'll hold off on trying anything then. not that i could in the first place, ocarina still doesn't want to work. :(

wouldn't using the sse versions decrease the character's attributes? sse weakens characters' jumps, attack power, etc.
No. As far as I can tell, they're exactly the same. It may not be an SSE version anyway, just a specific individual version to be used in Events and All-Star. I think the weakness thing might just be specific to SSE.

lol "wild" squirtle

awesome, i have homebrew but can't get ocarina app d/led...i'll add it when i get the chance.

too bad this won't be allowed at tourneys.
Side-tournys for Brawl+ maybe (provided their is enough code left).

Though I don't see the problem with using it in normal tournys if the interest is there. You can still use standard PT if you don't like any Pokemon by themselves.

I like to play as PT as a team... but i can see other people wanting to main only squirtle or charizard.. so thats cool
I think the best improvement for PT would be to remove the fatigue stuff keeping the down B, idk about the forced switching when you die, sometimes i just change to the worst matchup pokemon at high percent to make sure he doesnt fight a lot of the time... but the profit of not automatic switching is better, so its good overall... its just gonna be hard to change from squirtle to charizard, because you cant sacrifice ivy.. but ok

What, no love for Jigglypuff?

*God she's pathetic T_T but I still love her*

Wild PT pokemon sounds good for Brawl+

Is there anyone currently working on a bug-free code for this? I would like very much to try this, but not until all the bugs are fixed.

Not sure. Someone COULD be working on it, but it probably won't be known until it's released. I'm trying to instigate it, but as far as I can tell it's being mostly ignored.

It's fine to use the current code at the moment, just as long as you backup your save game first. That way you can restore the few problems it causes.

This sounds awesome I would so use this to mess around...but I don't have ocarnia(-sniffle-) i still prefer the team because that's why they were made as a team, they need to support each othe.having a stand alone without worrying about stamina is fun but for competitive play, all three are required.

Cool beans MuBa. I'll test that right away and let people know if it works correctly.

Edit: It works perfectly. Does exactly what it says;

You can choose your starter Pokemon
No fatigue/stamina
You can switch Pokemon
It doesn't cycle to the next Pokemon when you get KO'd

There is no corruption that I'm aware of. Names do not corrupt and My Music does not corrupt either. This is exactly what I suggested.

Thanks MuBa for posting it.

So just to clarify, the codes that MuBa posted allows you to change Pokemon? Because I was liking the idea of what some people called "wild" Pokemon, where there's no fatigue and no forced switching upon dying, but also no ability to switch with down+B. I like this setup because it forces players to choose between taking Pokemon Trainer as a package deal with fatigue and forced switching or playing as a single Pokemon without fatigue but without the ability to switch. Anyone else share my sentiments?

Still, it's great to hear that someone was able to make a version of this code without any negative repercussions. Props to PW and Y.S.

Yea, it still allows you to change Pokemon with Down+B.

I personally prefer the "trainer independent" Pokemon too; playing as a Pokemon without the trainer, no accidentally switching, no stamina/autoswitch. Unfortunately the old code was the sole cause of all the glitches and created the minor problem of not being able to choose a starter if you wanna use the combo of the 3.

This way makes a compromise between the 2 extremes, treating the Trainer like Zelda and Sheik; you can main a single Pokemon or the Trainer as a whole.

Besides, Zelda/Shiek mains aren't forced to choose between maining one, the other or both. Why shoud the Trainer be so strict?

Edit: Though I can't help but wonder if there's a way to make it so that if you choose a starter and hold down sheild (like how ZSS works), you get the independent Pokemon (no Trainer). Glitch free of course.
