As a scrubby Falco main, I'm pretty happy with my character, but there's something about that classic Sheik style that I just freakin' love. I've been playing Smash awhile and my tech skill is pretty solid, so all the basic stuff I have down, but I don't know what kind of sheik stuff i should be practicing. Could anyone throw me some pointers? Any thoughts are appreciated!

edgeguard options (backthrow to needle/nair/bair/....)
techchase if you're in europe (i guess chains for NTSC then)

Wow, i can't believe there isn't a full guide stickied... there has to be one out there though. Read one and you should get to know the important stuff

Learn Sheik's combos. Most of them are pretty easy to execute and work on most of the cast

eg. D-throw, f-tilt, appropriate aerial

I'll just leave this here

And yeah the combos are pretty easy to execute, although they require a lot of memorization as well as percentage awareness (if you have this down it's easier to react accordingly to the opponent's DI). The edgeguards are not as easy but you obviously need to learn to execute them consistently, against every character.

Sheik's probably the best character at both chasing techs and edgeguarding, so make very good use of that.

I'm sad that there isn't a basic Sheik guide that is up to date. I'd like to train up a Sheik just so a friend of mine could get some good Sheik xp, and it's a lot easier picking up a character if there is a nice, simple, well-written guide.
