Sorry if this is old news.

I recently was playing around with some random characters as usual and I think I found a way to improve Yoshis aerial game via the heavy armor (or whatever it's called) of the DJump. All you have to do is quickly cancel the 1st jump by immediately jumping twice to go directly into the animation of the 2nd jump. From this position you can go into any aerial battles without suffering knockback. If you get overhelmed by a Marth in teh air you may find this to be a useful way to strike back.
Basically: Cancel the first jump asap and make use of the armor of the 2nd jump.

Sorry to say but this is old material. Back in melee this was called the double jump cancel counter. I mention it in the pinned guide, as well. Thanks, anyway, though! =)

Regardless of how old or new this information is it's something that isn't seen often within a yoshi's game. I personally have been trying to put this into my game more, when I DJ Cancel Egg Lay I try my best (typically get it 1/3 of the time) to have the initial frames of my egg lay super armored. It's a useful skill (manipulating the super armor, not talking about egg lay) that doesn't get enough attention.

Edit: Quick Question,
If you cancel the double jump animation with an attack (lets say dair as an example) do you lose the frames of super armor?

i would definitely agree with lilb and yoshinator.... also, i would recommend that you look through every single word of a character's forums before you post something "new" for others to look at.... i learned that lesson XD

Yes, you do. As soon as you input the attack, the super armor frames go away

edited because it's not super armor, it's heavy armor. There's a difference. >_>
