So i know falco moves pretty slow if ur tech skill isnt that great.
i just recently noticed that im not doing my wavedashes to full distance.
is there anything else you guys would recommend that would help improve falco movement?

also when should we dashdance vs laser ?

and this might be a dumb question, but how do we use shield effectively as falco? i know he's an agressive character so shielding is kind of a tricky question to me.

You're that new socal player who has been posting in the FB group, ya?

First of all make sure you've read these two stickies, they're pretty good:

http://smashboards.com/threads/hao-to-fazfall-thru-platz-fasta-like-shia-chawps.273161/

http://smashboards.com/threads/mogw...gue-of-legends-and-doesnt-write-stuff.203781/ (The whole first post and thread is pretty good but for the purposes of just movement, you should read the laser section.)

Basic important stuff you don't want to mess up:

Make sure your shine -> platform wavelands are clean because you'll need them to combo a good portion of the cast.

Make sure you can waveland from the ledge with at least some invincibility. He can get away with doing easier options from the ledge, but waveland is hella good if you're confident in it

Make sure you almost never get stuck in your shine. (I.E. the timing is a little different when you hit someone with it.

DD vs laser is kinda broad but I'll give a broad answer lol. Laser is essentially your tool for locking them down in their shield or stopping their movement so that they have to approach you in certain ways and from certain angles. Basically, it's falco's tool to quickly take stage control (not quite as easy as it sounds vs better players but a great tool nonetheless). With dash dancing, you bait out the opponent to attack you (usually from shield or from platforms, but those aren't the only places, just the most common as falco). DDing allows you to punish the opponents habits while not really committing to anything, keeping you in a low risk-high reward situation.

Shielding question is even more broad haha. Just learn how to shine out of shield really well, and you'll get a feel for shielding on your own. And if you remain confused, you live in socal, and you can ask someone irl (cuz it's probably easier to explain irl).

i got 1 more Question but i think i kind of know the answer. what should i do out of shield when my shine wont reach? im guess i should WD out or bair if they are behind? but i guess bair would be riskier cuz they might expect it..

Depends on the situation and character, but you'll be surprised at how often just rolling works. B-air is definitely the risky option because it's one of the more predictable ones and easy to cover (shield and punish out of shield). Wavedash is good as well but depends on character. Against Fox shield pressure there's no way you're gonna succesfully wavedash out, nor if Peach F-airs your shield. But if a character does a move that's a bit slower, than yeah, you can use bair/dair or WD OoS.

when do you know shine oos will beat the opposing pressurre, im guessing foxs oos is better than falcos? but i thought shines out of shield were one of the options that few things could beat?

Expierence/knowledge. You should know that it's difficult to Shine OoS against Fox Drillshine pressure or shinegrab, or that it's impossible to shine OoS when Peach lands a float-canceled F-air on your shield (you roll in that case). You can only shine out of shield when people don't space well. If Fox lands a well spaced bair on your shield and you try to shine OoS, you're ****ed because you're gonna use your double jump to cancel the shine while you missed Fox.
When people mess up their dash attacks for example, but in that case there are better options than shine. Another example is Sheik's F-smash or Falco D-air (unless he's retreating it)
