I'm not Heartz but I can answer the City of Heroes question.

Yeah, I personally thought that it was pretty good. But around level ten repetition started to set in, plus it really didn't feel like i was helping the city in any way shape or form. Seeing how every other block there was someone getting mugged or something, and it is always the same guy that I just saved.

I fell in love with this game, and literally cried when I had to leave all my friends ( I just couldnt pay for it anymore). This game has a really good community. You meet some awesome like-minded people, so even if you dont like the game that much, you still have some people to chill with. Most of the time, I am chatting with people under Atlas, which is basically a park for meeting lots of people.

THe game involves a lot of grinding. There is no storyline, you just level up to be able to move to harder areas and do more dangerous acts that super heroes deal with.

And you don't have to have a tights and cape hero. You can look like anything you want, within reason of its tailors. There is alot of costume pieces you begin with, and you can unlock other good ones.

I have to say this is the best MMo I've ever played, it is just not worth the money at all.

Ya, it might be the first, my brother said the story or the characters or something were really bad.

Whatever <('.'<) is cool.

I could never get into any Star Ocean, mostly due to the fact that it claims to be a Sci-Fi RPG, but dumps you on middle-ages planets a lot. It's like it can't decide if it wasn't to be a Sci-Fi RPG or a medieval RPG.

True, but it generates an extreme plot twist. You get so caught up in the Middle Age, but then all of a sudden you make it back to Sci Fi, only to find out a higher entity, then end up going to a world beyond everything else. It is pretty genius actually. I just hated that they all
ended up being virtual game characters in Star Ocean 3
. That was a disappointed.
Fayt's dad freaking dies and it wasnt even anything.

This post speaks the truth! I remember when
Fayt's Dad kicked the bucket
I was thinking "wow, this sucks." Then all of the sudden,
"guess what guys, it was all a game!"
Annoying little plot twist if you ask me.

Haha. It made me ANGRY. The months of grinding only to find out
it's a game in a game?

I'll admit that the concept of having a game within a game is a pretty inventive idea, but if you're going to make your game about that then at least make the story remove around that like .//Hack did! Don't just make it some random plot-twist thrown in just for kicks!

True. It kinda turned me off near the end, but the game was still fun.

Admittedly, yes. The battle system was awesome, I'll give it that. I haven't finished Star Ocean 2 yet (habbit I have with RPGs, if it doesn't firmly hold my interest throughout the entire game I probably won't finish it) but I hope they don't pull something similar at the end.

I've never beaten it, but they don't pull the virtual reality thing. After you discover the higher entities, that is pretty much it.

Yea! No bull plot twist! I might have to go back to that game some time this summer. Then again, there's a ton of games I need to start playing again. Star Ocean 2, Chrono Cross, Final Fantasy VII, Final Fantasy Tactics. Wow, I really do have a ton of games I need to play.

Kindgom Hearts Chain of Memories?
If you people have not played it yet, you really should,
or get the version for ps2 which I haven`t played yet.
But the GBA version was SOO fun:p My second favorite Gameboy game,
I only like Golden Sun better.

Have you tried "The World Ends With You"? It's an awesome RPG game, the battle system, the music, and story line is very refreshing. It's for the DS.
I also recommend Persona 3 FES (or Persona 3 if you can't find the FES remake). It is way more addicting then heroin. You can also try Persona 4 which has a more cheery feel to the game, and (slightly) better storyline.
----
You can also try RPG Maker, if you think all of these RPG games everyone is telling you about suck. :p

but I'm not in the mood for any RPGs based in anime style.
As much as I'd like to recommend TWEWY (The World Ends With You) like everyone else, I can see that it fits into that "anime style" criterion, unless I'm just terrible at determining what's anime and what's not. If it weren't for this though, I would absolutely recommend playing it.

Wait, you don't have TWEWY?

You can't say you like RPGs unless you own TWEWY.
But I jut bought a DS! How can I own a game for a system I didn't own?

Although I'll admit that I am interested in the game, seeing how it's the "Final Fantasy VII" effect all over again with this one.
