Link to original post: [drupal=2454]I'm having bad luck with Pokémon today...[/drupal]
So I'm kind of hating myself right now. But before I get into anything, I'm just going to ask you kindly to not say anything if it's just going to be "lol ur own fault this y u dun haxx0rz".
That said, my problems started today with my Pearl version. I'm currently working on a solo-Jigglypuff run in my Pearl version, in which I've gotten all the way to the Pokémon League. I got there months ago, actually, (approximately mid-March, to be specific) and then I stopped working on it for a while. In the middle of last week, I randomly decided to finally continue it and start my grinding up from level 85, and got up to level 92 earlier today.
Of course, in both my solo-Jiggs run and my prior solo-Shaymin run (which I completed), I make it my goal to kill all of the legendaries since I really don't have any use for extras and it's cool to kill epic legendaries like the God of Pokémon with a Shaymin/Jigglypuff. So I got bored and decided to turn on walk through walls in order to access Shaymin and kill it, and in order to walk over water to Darkrai and kill it as well.
You can probably tell where this is going.
So I went down to the Seabreak Path and got to Flower Paradise and easily killed Shaymin with a Flamethrower (yes, Jigglypuff can learn Flamethrower, isn't that awesome?) Then I flew off to Canalave and took the boat to Iron Island -- since I haven't beaten the Elite Four or gotten the National Dex or whatever you have to do to activate the Full Moon Island quest (I forgot), I was walking up from there to activate both Cresselia and to go to Darkrai to kill it.
Big mistake on two fronts. First front being that it takes a REALLY LONG TIME to get all the way up to Full Moon Island from Iron Island. The second being...well, let me go on.
So I finally got up to Full Moon Island, interacted with Cresselia, it ran away, and I picked up the Lunar Wing. Anxious to move onto Darkrai, I moved to the right, through the wall.
Yeah. Biiig mistake.
I forgot to leave the little clearing where Cresselia is first. I started to move a little bit, then I looked at my Marking Map on the Pokétch and realized that I wasn't on the map anymore...which made me realize I hadn't left the clearing before heading off. So I headed back and made it into the clearing again. Despite everything being black, I could tell that I was back in the clearing due to A) the little title thing that appeared, and B) because I could tell from animations and sounds that I was moving over the puddle in the area (which you can see in this picture). Figuring I just had to do a restart to fix this blackness, I saved and turned it off.
"Wait, you saved?! WHY THE FREAKING HELL DID YOU SAVE?!?!?!"
That's probably what you're asking (or maybe it's going a little more like "LOLOLOLOLOLOL"), and I would answer if I knew myself. Apparently, losing like...one level of training and the defeat of Shaymin wasn't worth possibly losing so I took the risk of that instead of just shutting the game off.
Needless to say, when I turned the game back on, it didn't fix itself...but no longer having walk through walls on, I tried to use the puddles to guide myself. I KNOW I have touched where the exit should be, but apparently in exiting the bounds of that area, I broke the exit. It doesn't work. Also, due to Nintendo just being utterly stupid, I can't fly from that area. Can't use the Explorer Kit either. Basically, I've got no way to do anything, except with more cheats.
Naturally, I decided I had to find a "Fly From Anywhere" code. I looked it up, and found one that I planned on using (in retrospect, after reading more closely, I'm pretty sure it's just for the Japanese version anyways). I tried for quite a while to figure out how to add codes using the AR Code Manager on the computer, and when I finally figured out how you do it, I realized that while my computer recognized that something was being plugged in, the program didn't recognize it as being the Action Replay.
I tried a ton of things to try and get it to work, to no avail.
As it stands now, I don't have any definitive codes that could fix it, but not that it matters, since I can't add any new codes anyways...
I'm going to have one of my friends lend me their ARDS and see if theirs will work (as I think it's a problem with my AR in particular), but I won't see them again until tomorrow, so I'm pretty much left hoping it's fixable until then.
The other half of Pokémon hating me is with Pokémon Stadium. For one, I decided, after being unable to continue my solo-Jiggs run at the moment, to restart my Blue file to try and beat it again just because I haven't played through a first gen game in a while. I got a little ways into it and then realized that I could play it full-screen on Pokémon Stadium, so I did. I played a little bit further until the Transfer Pak suddenly asploded on me and cut out in the middle of gameplay, deleting whatever progress I had made...which demotivated me enough so that I decided to just quit.
Instead, I decided to try and continue some of the main mode of Pokémon Stadium. I got to Round 2 quite a while back and never played very much into it. I went into the Gym Leader Castle, and it was only at Cerulean City, so I gave it a shot. I picked out a team which I thought was pretty good and went into battle.
I sucked.
I lost my first two Pokémon, a Chansey and a Muk, to an Eevee. It used Double Team once and then spammed Body Slam until Hitmonchan finally killed it with Submission. Then Hitmonchan got killed by Cloyster.
I lost another time, and then finally won the third time, only to lose in the very next battle.
In the end, though, the only thing that REALLY bugs me is that I may or may not lose EVIL JIGGS (my Jigglypuff from my solo run).
tl;dr: I WANT TO GET THE HELL OFF OF FULL MOON ISLAND PLZKTHXBAI.
