And I'm going to buy into the rumors of Sega's Ringedge becoming a console.
There is very little backing up this claim and a lot generally proving it false. But I don't care. I want to feel giddy again for something Sega related. I want to believe. I want to dream. I want to wish and hope and pray for something I truely truely want.
I wanna be a fanboy again. I want to stand there proud and bold in the front of the group of kids on the left side of the school and bash all other consoles and support Sega until the end.
When I recently bought my Dreamcast...again...When I set my eyes upon it, it was like Christmas. I jumped as far up as I could multiple times in a public ****ing mall infront of a lot of people. 19 ****ing years old. In front of a **** game store, over a 10 year old console that's been dead for 8 years.
I was estatic. I was literally jumping for joy. My heart rejoices. I cried tired and even though I need money for bills. I bought the console anway. I needed that money for more important things, but I didn't care. My fanboy was out and there was nothing my common sense and logic could to do stop it.
I had issues with bills for a good month before I got a break, but I dont regret it. I dont regret it at all.
I wear my Dreamcast VMU around my neck where ever I go, and I wear it proudly.
**** Xbox 360 and PS3. You're high quality graphics mean nothing to a console who paved the way in gaming HISTORY. You're following the path Sega set to you.
**** you Nintendo, your amount of heart-warming and quirky titles pales in comparison to the sea of individuality that the Sega Dreamcast's library is.
And **** you PC. At least a homebrew community came out of Dreamcast pirating.
Dreamcast IS the best console and you cannot convince me otherwise as it is fact to me and embedded into my own reality. My own world.
**** you Mario, you're a generic hero with no personality and your own brother is a more vivid character for you. You're a blank slate of a person with a smile on his face at all times. You have no attitude, you no have life. You jump and thats all you do.
I love you Sega. I always will. I'll forever be a loyal fan. I'll always be right behind you, no matter what. I'll blindly follow you til the ends of the earth and my faithfulness will never fault. I might wear nintendo swag and have a Nintendo console, but I'll never be a nintendo fanboy.
Long live Sega, even if your products are sub par. Even if your development team blows because everyone who was actually GOOD left you. Even if Sammy bought you and merged with you. Even if Sonic Team is no longer the Sonic Team that produces quality content. Even if you're milking Sonic for more than he's worth. Even if you're still bleeding profits due to past mistakes. Even if EA still ****ing hates your guts.
I dont care. Love live Sega, through it all.
May the Ringedge descend upon all who question it and prove them wrong. Come to USA. Come to homes. Come to my house. Be a console please. I beg of you. I will wait hours upon hours for you to arrive and once you do, I will never leave you alone.
