I'm bored, so I made a roleplay.

Kaito has his snack and invites ShyHo to play with them.

Eventually, Ashley wakes up. "Red?" she says.

Red nods. "I'm right here. Now, tell me what's been going on at Sarah and Gunther's."

"Gunther....." Ashley says, her eyes misty. "Gunther was eaten by monsters...."

Red is shocked, with a tiny bit of guilty satisfaction, as it may mean that Ashley will want to spend more time with him. "Oh, Ashley! That's horrible!" he says. Ashley starts crying and Red consoles her. "There, there, Ashley.....It's okay....."

After a while, Ashley calms down a little. "You two look very dirty. I'll get you cleaned up, and then we can do something fun!" Red says. Ashley nods, and Red takes her and Baby Ashley away to bathe them....

Lucas Baker watches as the work on cloning Ashley is complete. "There. She may be unstable at first, but we have a chemical to control her," a researcher says. E-Ashley is inside of a tall tube, and when she's let out, she stands staring blankly.

"She needs to be stimulated," the researcher says, taking out a tazer. He shocks her, which makes E-Ashley start crying like a baby. The researchers calm her down and shush her.

"Now to test her..." one says. E-Ashley is brought to a testing room, where a captive volunteer is waiting. After a lot of coaxing and bribing, E-Ashley vomits a large amount of mold, which crawls its way over to the volunteer....

Marcus: Just leave it in my care.

Jin: Very well. Return all in three days' time.

Meanwhile, Alpheus Carson briskly walks the halls of a laboratory he founded. It is not currently in operation, as it houses a secret gathering room for the members of a board dedicated to... what exactly?...

Alpheus: (After being seated, he conducts the meeting) Hello, ladies and gentlemen (speaking to a host of seeming aristocrats, each with a codename on a name plate and a mask.)... I am glad to welcome you all here tonight! <Be welcome to assume and improvise a role if you wish.> I hope you all have some interesting news from abroad...

The mold covers the victim, rendering them completely under E-Ashley's control. The victim stands up and gives E-Ashley a big hug, and E-Ashley begins eating their arm, which they do not object to. After further testing and observation, a very odd discovery is made: E-Ashley has the body and physical capabilities of normal Ashley, but the mental capacity of Baby Ashley. The researchers are baffled, not aware that Baby Ashley exists.

"Well, Ashley does seem to wear diapers, so perhaps she has some intellectual disability we were not formerly aware of," a researcher says. Lucas Baker watches as E-Ashley sits on the floor of the impeccably clean room playing with a toy and babbling nonsensically.

"****. So this was all just a lost cause?" Lucas says.

"Not necessarily," the head researcher says. "We could try mental therapy for her and see if that will bring her to a normal mental state for her age." He looks at E-Ashley, who wets on the floor and sucks her thumb, and looks a lot more unsure than he did previously.....

Dr. Pike (visiting to see the E-series): ... This does not sound good to me. All it takes is one tantrum at the wrong time, and she's out of our control, especially since we ourselves have never been subjected to the mold. Case in point-- every lab monster movie you've ever seen! Besides that, why settle for this if we can control larger numbers of people with... say, mind control-- a method that has met with success in the historically important Rapture experiment (Bioshock <I do not know that much about it, but the E-series idea somehow reminded me of the little sister concept in Bioshock, so altogether, it seemed like the sort of argument someone in this setting might give. > ). I can tell you this: If that thing behaves like a two-three year-old and it ever has a reason to be violent, we'll have bitten off more than we can chew.

And by the way, can you really afford, manufacture, and store enough of the cure to keep up with the 'success' of the E-series? If not for mass subjection, how could this be useful?

"She's perfectly under our control. Once we've disciplined her a bit more, she won't infect anyone she shouldn't. She completely controls the mold as well, so it won't be able to breach. Relax," the head researcher says. "And it's not just about controlling people, she can control other bioweapons too! So if anyone tries to interfere, we'll be fine." E-Ashley tries to bite Dr. Pike.

(ShyHo and Lenna wake up with the latter going to check on Kaito)
