< I usually have a 'fork in the road' so that if someone's character does or does not do something, the story can continue, but not always. In this case, I actually thought not that Ashley would run away; that she would find herself elsewhere, and (optionally) begin warming up to other children; while Red comes to take over Al's bar much later when Al passes away from a heart attack, slowly building it into a business empire that widely monopolizes certain goods , much to the political concern of the Tycoonian Empire (laughably related to the name) since many businesses start complaining... Since no provision was made for the alternative, the scenario 'crashed.' (I am using 'scenario's' to introduce possible situations, some problems suggested by them, and to suggest or imply the primary characters with which they initiate. They can be accepted, rejected, or modified.) More can be improvised, however. I know planning and improvisation do not always work together, but it is a roleplay, after all. Whatever is done can be accommodated.>

<A scenario I had in mind was that someone would find Ashley behind the bush, forcibly “adopt” her, force her into a normal life going to school with other children and such, before she eventually escapes and finds Rick and Red>

<You did not ruin anything. I just did not plan as completely as usual. Besides, I would have had to improvise other things later anyway. No harm, no foul, no... parm, no... towel. Rhymes are hard to come by these days.>
