Did anybody besides me notice that in the Japanese online battle shown in the update tonight, besides the speed of Ike's Quick Draw, that when Ike did Aether about half way into the match that he moved forward a little after the ascent? Does this mean that Ike can recover now?

And Ike looks overall faster, and funner:)

Japanese one sounds actually badass and fearful, unlike the American one who sounds like a whinny noob.

That's fact.

Like he was in PoR? More facts! Yay!

I still miss the badass part in the Japanese VA, unless you're thinking emo badass then I agree.

The Japanese voice actor in Brawl reflects perfectly the maturity that Ike gained in RD, which isn't patent in the American voice. Is still as whinny as it was in PoR, and it should reflect the cold blood, skills, brute strength and imposing persona that made the character enter in Brawl and defined his playstyle in the game.

It is badass. He sounds fearful and you can tell he is totally serious and knows what he is doing. The American one sounds noobish and too carried over in comparison.

The voice actor itself isn't bad, it just doesn't match this particular character. NOA has a horrible taste for choosing voice actors, which are usually amateur and cheap to avoid costs. The American Ashley Song also sucks bad: They sing good, but Ashley Song isn't High School Musical. And Sonic? They should bring back Ryan Drummond.

And to avoid the "weaboo" comments, I'll say American Pit and Metaknight are remarkably well done. I just expect Japanese language selection available in Europe.

among the figments of your imagination
I've seen E for all footage of Ike's Aether covering some horizontal distance; its not anything new. It probably operates on similar mechanics to Marth/Roy B/\ in that a greater horizontal distance can be covered if the control stick is moved to the side just after the B/\ command is input.

as for the SSBB VA, the Japanese one sounds great, if I felt like being persnickety could say his voice sounds a little wheezy, but its really not a big deal. I haven't heard the English voice much so I can't comment on it.

Ike's English VA sounds WAY too much like Link... And today when I heard the Japanese voice... I fell in love with it. There's something about it... He doesn't yell when he uses Aether, it's a sort of... I dunno. But I absolutely love it. It does sound a bit wheezy, but maybe that's what makes it sound badass.

Really good showcase of Ike's moves. But they hardly did any B moves. Aside from Aether thae guy didnt do Counter or Quick Draw. And the dude playing DDD only threw waddle dees. Whats up with that?

Yeah, that's what I said. He would've been able to back Dedede off him a lot more with uses of the Counter.

And all the Dedede guy really did was Waddle Dee and chain throw. Provided Dedede's chain throw seems really good (although by match 5 you could see Masashi was figuring out how to escape it with Ike) but still.

he actually has some considerable horizontal movement. More than at E4All, but all i've seen is that when Ike does his Aether move, he doesnt grab the edge, he simply plummits do his doom. This worries me, since all the videos ive seen where ike tries to recover with it, if he goes too high and tried to grab the edge on his way down he never gets it. Ive seen many accounts when he simply passed the edge when any other character would have grabbed it. Seems odd. This is in reference to the new videos from Japan.
Makes me wonder
