Valor Ablaze
Interesting. Do you know if he does the same to Robin (female)? ^-^So anyone else notice how Ike kept his Brawl grab animations? He grabs females by the hands, males by the throat.

I just checked and no. Ike grabs kind of close to the throat, chin, and body. It's really weird; it looks like he's feeling Robin's (male and female) chin up. It's the same with Marth and Lucina. He grabs them by the hands or chest area. So... Does that mean Marth's a Martha?Interesting. Do you know if he does the same to Robin (female)? ^-^
Some of Ike's moves have a weak hitbox at the hilt of the sword, but for Up-Smash I think the only way to get that hitbox at all is for the person to be going down towards you, since the closest you can get to them side-by-side gives you the regular hitbox. I think you got the hilt hitbox as he was coming down on you.It was diagonally in the back. The move shouldn't be stale either, I used Usmash 3-4 times at most in these fights and the hit barely sends them flying. And it only happens occasionally, I have matches where I use Usmash way more but it hits for the full 17% like usual.
Now that I got another match where it happened, it seems like the weak hitbox is inside of Ike. So basically, you only want to hit with the sword part of Up Smash or something of the sort.
That isn't based on Ike's animation. Every single char has their own animation for when they are being grabbed. For example, Falco will almost holding his throat when being grabbed by taller chars. That is the only thing that determines the animation.I just checked and no. Ike grabs kind of close to the throat, chin, and body. For Falco, he grabs him by his throat and it looks hilarious because Falco's eyes go bug-eyed. I guess Ike's into that sort of thing.
I didn't know that, but still, that means female and male Robin share an animation along with Marth(a) and Lucina sharing a grab animation..That isn't based on Ike's animation. Hm, interesting. I wonder if the is the same for the Villager and Wii Fit trainer as well? Maybe they didn't put anything in the code that specifically separates Male/ Female alts other than the costume.I just checked and no. Ike grabs kind of close to the throat, chin, and body. Well, it's evidence that Lucina, Dr. Mario, and Dark Pit were alts like the male and female versions of Robin, Wii Fit Trainer, and The Villager along with existence of the Koopalings and Alph. Personally, since the Koopalings were shown to have different abilities compared to Bowser Jr., they should have never been alts, however, adding them in would lead to a large percentage of the cast being from Mario. They could have all been Assist Trophies. Alph, I can understand since it's mostly the Pikmin that fight, but it would have been neat if Olimar used the red, yellow, and blue Pikmin while Alph, Louie, Charlie, and Brittany used other Pikmin associated with them to fight and have differences between - they would all share the Up Special, though, so they can recover well. Still, that might cause an issue where one of them is better than the others.Hm, interesting. I wonder if the is the same for the Villager and Wii Fit trainer as well?
