There's a lot of "IGN sucks at smash" and "You cant spell ignorant without IGN, screw them" posts here. Well I really doubt they care about being good at Smash considering they get access to every single video game created for every single system before any of you, and they get paid to do so. So... wait. I forgot the point I was going to make. I'm writhing in jealousy right now. >_<
agreed i will love to get mah hands on some demoz. well actually this is my first time hearing about the IGN jokes so im pretty new to them

I apologize for my laziness for not reading waht everyone's talking about, but i can't find another thread to talk about this. I got this info from the new ign videos.

BRAWL IS JUST LIKE SSB64!!!!

Almost EVERYONE is floaty,
They have their own entrance again,

And check this out,
you remember in 64 when you get hit sometimes at low percentages and you go spiral straight up and down like 2 feet, Well just look at mario in Meta Knight Ship (Off-Screen HD), 00:54. That didn't ever happen in melee but DID happen in 64.

Here's somehting else noticeable, Their DI is also taken from 64.
Everyone can DI quite dramatically, JUST like in 64.

A crap load of game mechanics are taken from 64 and put into brawl!
I think that brawl is going VERY similar to 64, which i'm happy about.
There is no normal DI in Smash 64. You can (try to) Smash DI, but other than that, you can't DI.

I dunno if we're talking about the same thing.
I'm talking about how fast you can accelerate left, and right while you're airborne.

You can move left and right in the air the same way you can in 64.

Oh. That's not DI--that's general air movement. DI is affecting your trajectory of a hit by inputting a direction.

Anyway, it ain't Smash 64 until you see combos.

Their account does make Meta Knight seem overpowered.

Yes the outcome of a battle largely has to do with the players skill, but that does not counter the fact that Meta Knight is noticeably more skilled/powerful then the other characters.

I'm confident that the issue will be resolved before the game is out though, if there is even a problem with Meta Knight.

DI= Directional Influence? ...

Anyways, I stand by what i said and I am now going to sleep.

laters, - GP.
There may be things that seem similar to Smash64 but you seem to be forgetting the differences which far outnumber the similarities. Air dodging, spot dodging, more B special moves, to name a few.

And theres no way to be sure right now. We'll have to wait to play the game before we can really judge.
