Here's what I'd do:
-June 4th, 2013
To the people of Smashboards:
I recently viewed the presentation of Super Smash Bros. for the Wii U/3DS. I can now definitely confirm some things for you:
-The 3DS version will be shown first, and will showcase stages based off games like Spirit Tracks, Nintendogs, Fire Emblem Awakening, Kid Icarus Uprising and Super Mario 3D Land. Most stages on the 3DS will be based on handheld games.
-The Wii U version has some other interesting stages as well, based off home console games such as Skyward Sword, Animal Crossing City Folk, Metroid Other M and Wii Fit.
-Both versions also feature their respective Battlefield and Final Destination, and they also have a third Smash Bros-based stage, a boxing ring.
-There's some classic characters present. You'll see 9 veterans, Mario, Link (looks like Twilight Princess, but with Skyward Sword's colors), Samus Aran (wearing her Other M armor), Kirby, Pikachu, Donkey Kong, Fox McCloud, Pit (with a reworked moveset based off Uprising) and Bowser (who is now upright like the Mario & Luigi series, and has several new moves that buff him up).
-You'll also get some newcomers, but I'm only going to give you slight hints. Whether or not these are the ones they choose to show off are anybody's guess:
1. One newcomer I saw uses several different things as attacks, and appears to be semi-popular. For instance, they use a helmet with balloons, a bowling ball, can grow trees, attacks with boxing gloves, rides a rocket and can snatch items and projectiles for use at any time! Surely, this character will strike fear into the hearts of millions.
2. This character is strange. Their movepool solely consists of posing and using equipment from their games. They are, however, the first "boost" character, with their Down Special allowing you to charge in order to increase strength in attacks. Surely, this character will make you say "WFT".
3. The final character I'll hint at is a pretty big deal. The character uses powerful explosives, sharp rotating blades, a strong shield they can use as offense AND defense, and other things as part of their collection of weaponry. They will bring together all fans and make the game legendary. And they're not the only one of "their kind" included in the game. Two others will appear as challengers later on, and a possible third, but don't count on that.
That's all for today, but in order to convince you, have a teaser!
Part II- June 18th
Wow, a week has passed since E3! And I see that my "predictions" have come true! How about it? You're all probably hungry for more info, huh? Well, I guess I can clarify a bit...
-The Villager does indeed use a rocket. He'll be able to summon Gyroids and board them for his Side Special, the Lloid Rocket. He also plucks weeds, uses a slingshot, makes fireworks and throws turnips! His Final Smash involves Tom Nook and the Nooklings building him a house.
-Wii Fit Trainer will indeed be a boost character. Deep Breathing is her Down Special, allowing her to increase her strength. Her Neutral Special, Sun Salutation, is an extremely powerful projectile. She also has a male costume to use, as will the Villager.
-I know of at least 6 more newcomers. Half of them are from existing franchises, two of them being part of Smash since the start! The others are hard to explain. You've probably heard of them by now, but I'll allow them to remain unnamed for your speculating purposes. However, one of them is a Smash Bros-exclusive character.
OK bye
