I know. I dont like how you are not able to know names of random people or the fact that if they drop out, you could just be playing computers. -.- That doesn't feel like online. Its just gameplay with possible lags..

Or...

They'll probably just pit you against three random CPU's to begin with. Not like they wouldn't get away with it.

He says very explicitly that you won't know when a stranger disconnects and is replaced. I wouldn't expect the final game to contradict anything that's stated on the Dojo. It sort of sucks that you don't even know for sure that you're playing against a human player anymore, though I'm sure there will be telltale signs. But as with everything else, the simple answer is to play with friends. Let me reiterate that...

PLAY BRAWL WITH FRIENDS.

I'm sure you'll find no shortage of people to add and play with on Smashboards alone. Doing that gets you the full set of features without the disadvantages. You can also focus on playing with people of a similar skill level. You might have to be a little choosy with the friends list but besides that there's nothing much to lose.

Would it honestly matter?

You don't know the name of the people you're fighting, anyway. It's completely random. Even if it does warn you, it's not like you'll know who left.

Not exactly because if they turn into a computer and they tell you then you'll know that you are fighting a cpu you'll fight as it was a computer.

Well you'll know your playing me because i'ma fall of the stage in the beginning of the match
*Raises Hand* Can I choose this kid as my partner? J/K man, although it would be nice to have an opponent who never fights back :p

And on topic, no, they won't show who got disconnected and when they will, it has already been shown in this thread and if you don't believe the posters check the Dojo. Its right there in the With Anyone update.

Im just curious about the level of the CPU taking over. Is it always lvl 9, och always lvl 1, or is it based on the player or is it random? I mean, I can't beat every lvl 9 CPU in SSBM with every character.

you know what would be funny, if sakurai just makes the illusion that your playing with other people, in reality your playing with advanced cpus... so the whole online thing is a lie... but you can still play with wii friends..

CPU's will always have some type of flaw like not picking up items like fans by walking over and picking them up. Or if they reflect with their shield way too often. There will be something that the AI will dose or dose not do that will prove to us that it is a computer.

Friends, contrary to common belief, aren't available 24/7 to play Smash ;)
Neither should you be if you have any.
Im sure nobody from this forum would have any problems finding mates to smash with online though.

Back on topic. I dont believe that its a bad thing that we arent notified. Even if it only gives the vissage that you're good VS real people, you'll never know anyway. And it always feels good to win regardless. If it bothers anyone, just 'assume' that you beat someone online and walk away smiling. :)

If one of these is true, then start worrying:

CPU's know how to dashdance
CPU's know how to SHFFL
CPU's don't suck

The good thing is CPU's cant do any of thsoe things. And you can easily tell if its a comp.

All you do, is have a thread here where everyone posts their friendcodes, and everyone becomes your friend. When you have a friend list of over 100, you should be able to find at least 3 other people to play with.

Well, I think you guys are missing the real point here. THEY'RE TRYING TO REPLACE US WITH ROBOTS! O.o'. Lol, but really. We don't know how CPUs will work in Brawl this time. Heck, the lvl 3s in the demos were doing ok even.

Jump Fest Confirmed that compter suck, so you'll probably be able to tell.

In a friend match It'll probably announce D/Cs.

Also to tell fi ti's a CPU:If it taunts the instant that you lose a stock.(For melee at least)
