The game I want is Millon's Secret Castle and the sequel Doremi Fantasy. No one except me appreciates those games though, but I want Nintendo to buy them from Hudson for one reason: Nintendo has been proven to turn terrible franchises into great ones. Millons Secret Castle was the bad game though, Doremi Fantasy is on my top 10 Fav games list.

Time Splitters!

I know Crytek are pretty big, so it's not going to happen, but Time Splitters would be such a good pick for Nintendo's FPS.

Bionic Commando.

I honestly feel that after the last two games in the series sold so poorly, Capcom's officially given up on the franchise. GRIN did an awesome job updating the title, but it just didn't sell. Which is a shame. Bionic Commando ReARMed was fantastic.

I think a Western Nintendo studio could expand on the ReARMed formula and create a fun 3DS or Wii U downloadable series with new challenges, fun boss designs and witty humor. That sort of game seems to have been overlooked by most third party publishers, and I think it would appeal to more Nintendo console owners than Microsoft or Sony, personally.

Plus, they even have the Bionic Commando Game Boy game on the 3DS eShop. Clearly they're at least vaguely interested in the franchise. I'd love to see it make a return on a Nintendo platform.

You forgot Perfect Dark.

Seriously though, the surveilance cameras and laptop gun would fit perfectly with the Gamepad!

Here's an unlisted franchise that EA has neglected for too long, Burnout, I think with the Wii U hardware and the gamepad, it could be the best game in the series and would help mend the Wii U hardware sale woes

I'm not really sure if Klonoa is a dead franchise, seeing as it at least has a webcomic at ShiftyLook, but even the webcomic hasn't been updated for a really long time. Either way, I'd really love to see another Klonoa game. The guy just doesn't get enough love.

As much as I enjoyed Bomberman Max, Mega Man would certainly be the best fit as far as characters who would jive with existing Nintendo franchises (could you imagine AlphaDream working on a new Mega Man RPG...)

Mega Man is an obvious answer, but on the topic of Banjo, Grant Kirkhope said that he and the people involved with the first two would love for Nintendo to bring the old team back together to make another Banjo game.

I would have chosen Megaman if I was not such a huge fan of Chrono Trigger! I would love another game in the Chrono Trigger series! Still have to play Chrono Cross though.

I'm surprised nobody mentioned Billy Hatcher yet. The game just SCREAMS Wii U exclusive sequel. Seriously though, Billy Hatcher is my second favorite game of all time, and I only have slight bias for this choice. It NEEDS a sequel or HD remake or SOMETHING. At LEAST put him back in Sega All Stars Racing.

Mega Man, though they have too many dead franchises of their own to resurrect first.

Chrono Cross is one of those games that just didn't grab me enough for me to really sink my teeth into it. I picked up a used copy many, many years ago and played it once before shelving it and never touching it again. It's worth a look IMO, 'specially since I know many people who seem to really like the game. Just don't really expect it to be much like Chrono Trigger.

Yea I have it lying around just don't feel like starting it yet. Heard it is good but not as good as Chrono Trigger just like you said. Plus the aspect of 20 recruitable characters kind of scares me!

I have such a huge backlog so will reach it in time. Right now the game I am going to play is Golden Sun 2 (again), TWEWY and Xenoblade Chronicles. Chrono Cross has to wait I guess!

I'm not sure if it's actually not as good as Trigger, mostly because last time I played Trigger I was an eleven year old hyped up on Lucky Charms and Dragon Ball Z so I don't entirely trust my opinion of it. I was around the same age when I played Cross, which makes me wonder if I couldn't get into the game because of how different it was from Trigger.

Some day I want to replay both games to see if I can actually get into Cross this time and if Trigger is actually as good as my nostalgia glasses tell me.

Apart from MegaMan,

I will say Earthworm Jim. The guy in my forum avatar. His two SNES games were the weirdest thing I ever played on the SNES back in the day and were both amazing games. EWJ 3D on the other hand was really terrible. I would like the series to be reborn as wacky and as high quality as the SNES games. But Shiny Entertainment died and EJW with it I think.

Another would be the Soul Blazer trilogy for SNES.

Soul Blazer
Illusion of Gaia/Time
Terranigma

The 1st game was good, the 2nd one better and the 3rd game is simply amazing. Making a 4th game for this series I would buy in a heartbeat.

I don't think Mega Man is really "dead", considering 10 was released in 2010.

Capcom practically has an army of dead and undead franchises alike. So many that you begin to question how they're still in existence.

Can I say Half-Life? I'm saying Half-Life.
I suppose any Valve franchise other then Team Fortress 2 would count in this. With that said, Nintendo doing a Portal game, anyone?

New megaman for wii u would be more hype than smash 4. That's right, i said it.

No one is questioning it because capcom is confirmed to be currently fading out of existence.

Defining "dead" as in "ended for good", I would not mind Nintendo picking up the previously mentioned Earthworm Jim and Bomberman games.

Defining "dead" as "it hasn't had a game in a few years", probably Mega Man or Kloana.

Castlevania. It's not a dead series by any means but sweet baby Jesus does it need some rescuing.
Make a game like the 2 Castlevania N64 games. They were just amazing. Well really the same game just remade was the 2nd one but still.

Trigger is no Terranigma (best SNES game by a large margin in my opinion) but Trigger is still pretty good actually. Trying to see all the different endings on the new game + is a nice challenge and fun.

I was thinking something more in line with the best of the Classicvanias. IE Rondo of Blood, Bloodlines or Dracula's Curse. Alternatively, a game similar to the GBA/DS RPGs. IMO the N64 CV games were pretty bad. I know they have their fans, but without nostalgia or that initial "wow factor" of a 3D CV game they just don't hold up.

I deeply regret not adding Earthworm Jim, Clay Fighters, or even Boogerman (to complete the Interplay trio) to this poll.

Wow, lots of votes, Mega Man still leads, but Battletoads and Bomberman have quite good showings. As there's no love for Oasis, I strongly recommend everyone buy Beyond Oasis on the Sega Genesis VC on the WIi. If you liked Legend of Zelda: A Link to the past, the game is fantastic.

Okay, I picked Mega Man without looking further into the thread and now I feel kinda bad for hopping on the bandwagon.

But yeah. If Sakurai and Treasure teamed up for a Mega Man game? Hooo boy. *fans self*
