Do it!

Re: your post regarding hands and hair:

1) See a doctor about your hands -- ideally a sports doctor or someone else who deals with people who make their livings with their hands (maybe someone who specializes in musicians). Even if they weren't particularly important for you as a pro gamer, hands are crucial...better to take some time off and fix whatever ails you than deal with lifelong problems.

2) The cure for a receding hairline is a close shave and a gym membership. (Maybe Athene could power-level you?) Based on family history I'm heading your way eventually, and I have my shears ready! (Research also shows that this is, game-theoretically, the optimal choice in terms of maximizing attractiveness, given a bad hairline.) I know lots of nerds with bad hair who make it much harder on themselves by wearing it long (including myself, at times). Experiment!

This will be fantastic. Wanted to start playing competitively since Melee, but what with education up til then I never had the time. Now I'm at Uni, I have nothing but time! Count me in to watch. :)

If you're suffering from low self confidence here is a book you can try. The 7 habits of highly effective people by Stephen Covey. It focuses on living in ways that just naturally line you up properly to become confident. When you learn the 7 habits and practice them, you grow immeasurably in confidence. Friends of mine who are VERY successful and confident in their lives pretty much threw this book at my face and said it alone made a big difference in their life. Its really good.
I highly recommend the book as well. It's go for anyone, no matter what their goal in life is.

Naw, I wouldn't want to spoil myself on Smash 4. But I would watch a Series of playthroughs by you if you record them. I would watch them after I've spent several nights with Smash 4.

But I would watch you play the hell out of this.

omg please don't give me a warning/ban, it's just a joke

Of course I'd watch with you behind it. I'll likely be playing the game a lot myself, so I'd be up for some online matches or maybe even a stream appearance, but we'll see. To have one of the most prominent Smash players promoting this game on a daily basis would bring even more attention to it.

Did you get streaming equipment yet or was that Strong Bad's set like someone said in the chat?

So do you have the tech to stream the 3ds version? I hear its pretty cumbersome.

Well this thread got bumped and now I'm excited.

Definitely see a hand specialist. Arthritis and problems like that can be a significant hinderance late in life. Best to take the best care of your hands that you can.

I'd love to watch you stream some melee, or PM, or any Smash you'd like to stream. I love watching videos of good players on Youtube, anyway. And if you did some of the things you talked about, that'd help out people like me who kinda stopped playing shortly after Brawl came out.

I'll be waiting patiently. If it never comes to pass, that's fine, so long as you're happy with your decision. But seeing a Mew2King twitch channel would be pretty cool, so I hope you consider it seriously, at least for a while.

I'll gladly watch if only to get some of your insight about the game.....Just be a bit careful about how so say some things as you will hold a lot of sway in the early meta by doing this.

Negative comments are always stronger then positive.

When I had to the time to I would certainly tune in. I only recently watched the Smash Brothers Doc which was a lot of fun and informative. Nice to learn more about the big players. So it would definitely be a treat to watch one of the pros try out the new game. That being said I probably wouldn't tune in until I had finished playing the new smash bros till my eyes bleed.

Hey M2k, making ssure to say I would watch you play but also offer up some help.

I hear your hands are giving you problems, have you ever considered some herbal treatments? I'm an herbalist (it's a family thing) and depending on what is specifically bothering you I might be able to offer some unique an inexpensive solutions you might be able to pick up at a local supermarket. I just hate to hear a good player is being kept down by bad hands.

Yikes at all the crummy medical pseudoscience being tossed around in this thread. M2K, you don't need "herbs" or "vitamins and minerals," you need to see a doctor. As has already been mentioned, you could drop by a clinic and see someone for a small fee (like $50) who could probably give you some really solid advice for home therapy (stretches and exercises perhaps) even if you can't afford actual treatment or medicine (if that's even an option.)Even if the clinic doc couldn't help, they could probably give you a solid idea of what the actual problem is so you don't waste time, energy and money on potentially useless "alternative" therapies.

Woah woah woah! I never said to not go see a doctor! There are some things that can really help out with pain and inflammation in the joints though that anyone can use that's easy. I agree completely that seeing a doctor is a great option if he hasn't, I'm assuming at this point he has and just hasn't found a good way to help with the pain or issues. If you haven't seen a professional M2K you should seriously do so, you don't want to ruin your hands for the rest of your life.

Has he not been streaming smash or have I just been missing it?
Maybe he has no time to stream because he's busy practicing for the smash tournament at e3.
I bet they sent him an early build of smash 4 to practice on to prepare himself.

He has streamed twice until now, but I don't know if it was his setup or not. He said he'll start streaming regularly when he moves, but we have no idea when that will happen.
