Wouldn't the wii have been updated to version 3.4? I'm not really sure but if it has, you can't download homebrew.

Actually there is a magical barrier that splits down the prime meridian, it deactivates all Wii's purchased on either side of it as soon as they cross the border.

I kid, it probably won't play American Wii discs though. So if you are going to buy one in Europe I suggest buying all the games you want now.

^^This is a fools strategy, I suggest you simply wait. Maybe you could have one delivered to your house, one from Peru, so it will be waiting when you get back. I know very little about Homebrew, so I won't make any suggestions of it.

They work, but you have to buy European versions of the game, I have an American Wii and I live in Europe...

As far as I know there is an Wii Freeloader (made by Datel) who lets you play imported games.

However it doesnt work with Wii Firmware 3.3 and higher. :/ (Correct me if Im wrong)

I highly suggest you wait, even if it might be a pain, it's probably the best solution.
