You say that as if you've never seen a White Yoshi before.

For reference:

His secondary white is still noticeably apparent, so it's not like it breaks the mold or anything. And besides, barring a few instances, Black and White Yoshis are commonly seen together. If you ask me, having one but not the other is even more odd.

As far as dark Toon Link goes, they should have made his eyes dark to match Shadow Link from Four Sword Adventures.
