If each character had their own Street Fighter-esque rival battles, who'd be their rival and why?

While playing through the main arcade mode in the newer Street Fighter games (and to an extent PlayStation All-Stars), you'll usually have to fight a specific character that has something to do with who you're playing as. The reason you fight each other could be because of a misunderstanding, rivalry, or just because you want to have a friendly match (as shown through a unique cutscene that precedes the match).

I doubt it'll happen anytime soon but if Smash 4 had a system like this in classic mode, who would each character fight as their rival and what leads up to the fight?

Well, we have 53 characters (56 w/ Mii Fighters), so, in my humble opinion, here would be the match-ups:




























EDIT: Switched Edgy Pit, Robin and Shulk. Having the Pits as rivals, Ike vs. Robin and then Shulk v. Cloud is a lot better.

- again very simple, everyone wants to see this
- King Kong rip-off thing, they actually fall in love
- I imagine Villager representing some sort of Pokémon Trainer look-alike trying to catch Pikachu
- again, pretty cheap but kind of obvious
- obviously the dog is trying to get the duck
- who's the best ninja
- Bowser would represent a dragon from the Fire Emblem universe
- another popular choice, slay the robot
- the trainer trying to fit the fatlord
- I see them both as martial art experts, it could be cool
- psychic battle
- I imagine Olimar trying to get Luma to join his Pikmins
- Fire Emblem character vs dragon II: electric boogaloo
- they're both assholes, I imagine this more like a making fun of each other more than a serious rivalry
- a magician battle, don't know the story but I think they fit together
- masked combatants, there could be a gag that they both have no idea why they're fighting and who they are
- King vs Queen/Princess, it could be cute in my opinion because in the end they would obviously make peace
- eating contest between balls
- Toon Link's grandma is forcing him to go to the doctor but he doesn't want to. Yes I know.
- I just want to see Ganondorf against ****ing Jigglypuff. And I want to see him scared.
- Little Mac/Floyd Mayweather gets so strong in one of his tournaments that only a literal goddess is a threat to him
- Diddy Kong steals Ike's bandana
- sci-fi stuff happens
- Yoshi ate Pit's something or something I dunno

This is very easily the best idea on this page. And it makes sense, Ganondorf dislikes Jigglypuff for daring to be so cute and Jigglypuff has it out for Ganondorf for waking her up.
