Hey guys, guess what?

There's playable characters in the first 5 event matches including Co-op...who has not appeared in the boxart. Like say uh...DEDEDE? >_>

Wow. Nice deduction. I still don't know where you found those images, but you very well may be correct, as Sakurai has stated that 3rd party characters will be locked. I don't see them on there. There we go.
