Fear ddds no matter what. Chain grabs will **** you. Falcos too. If its a good marth watch out for his air traps and just power shield your way to wolf/rob. BF is a good stage. Just all depends on your match up and don't be nervous!

Recover high above the stage and you'll usually have to airdodge to the ground. C4 recovery will save your life in a dire situation. Like Razer said, fear the chain grabs.

Make sure you play your spacing right and just remember to have fun,

fun > nerves

Good luck \m/ ^-^ \m/

The best thing you can do is realize that you aren't going to win. California has a pretty good Smash community if I recall correctly. If it's a small local tournament, there's the possibility that no one of merit will show, but if the pot is going to be over 150 for first place, you can bet someone from their main Smash community is going to be there.

With that said, go there to have fun. No one is expecting you to win. Just when you do eventually lose, play as many friendlies as you can at the tournament. Find out where the better people meet and befriend them so you can play better people. So focus on the experience, not the placing.

PS: Don't get hit.

Pss: If you do get hit, don't die.
