I don't think so. I've seen this happen with other throws as well, and I think it's a precise location on the stage. But it's happened to me before and I know I wasn't DIing poorly.

Shiek is an overall glitchy character in my experience. While fighting my friend who was playing Shiek, on three seperate occasions did he not grab a completely empty ledge for no reason. This, on top of the chain jacket glitch and now this down throw on the edge glitch.

I can't recreate this at all; it must involve some sort of funky DI. It would be pretty nice to figure out exactly why this happened.

The place Sheik has Luigi set up throws him off but before the throw is done, Luigi hits the VERY top corner of the stage and sends him flying.
