I am playing Fox at Mass Madness

I am currently in round 1 of pools @ MM.


My pool consists of Me, KDJ, and some other local players. Other notable attendees are Thorn, Banks, Zoso, and many others.


Haven't played any matches, looking forward to playing DJ again, it's been years.


My main concerns right now are tech skill and the volume of Falco players. I've got a pocket peach but I don't think It's up to par.


I'll be back with some periodic updates, probably record some bracket matches, too.

if you're going to use a pocket peach, keep her for CP use only. stick to float fair or turnip to float fair and just do obvious things. she's a very good CP choice on like KJ64, RC, BS, or the occasional FoD match.

if you don't know what to do about tech skill or falco or whatever, stay fox and platform camp. platform camping w/ fox can close a huge skill gap and gives you time to think.

Hi Silent wolf. Quick, tips vs. falco.



Did not record the pool matches, although, in hind sight I probably should have recorded DJ since his were hilariously enteraining.

Anyway, no offense to anyone in my pool but beside from DJ it was basically LOL.

DJ went marth vs. me and we had a close g1 on yoshis wiht an SD ending the match. I probably should not have opted to play him for my first match but I really couldn't resist. Johns aside, DJ is still pretty beastly, no matter what character he is playing.

50 entrants total. Round two of pools should start soon, I hope.

My second pool is finished. Participants were Thorn, Kyu puff (IC player), my friend Proskater (whom none of you care to critique >:O) and randy luigi guy.


I got top spot (omg I beat a falco :O)

My set with thorn went to game three. First game came down to last stock each. I won with a pretty clutch Back throw > shine spike. second game I got ***** on stadium and game three I won with a fully charged up smash. Randal saved me at least three or four times. 2-1

game 1 vs Kyu puff I shine spiked @ ~ zero, four stocked. Counter picked to FoD and I was down most of the game but managed to seal the deal with some excellent shffls and up smash. 2-0

My set with Joe (proskater) went to game 3. He's definitely improving.

The tournament is over, I'm tired and **** so I'll post a final report when I'm not so tired. (or I won't even bother.)

I suppose I will. Next one I'm attending is Gall of Gaming 3 in CT. I guess Jman and some other NY players are going, so (insert cliche about competition level).

Again, gonna update this later and get the viddds up probably tonight or tomorrow morning.
