Alright, I thought that this was something that belonged here, and I didn't see any other topics about it. If you don't know what Steam is it's a great program you can use to buy and download games directly to your computer. They have a pretty big library and it's really convenient. If you don't have it, get it.

For those of you who do have it there's a sale going on until Jan 2 on everything on the site so you can pick up some great games for cheap. If you bought stuff in the sale post what you bought. I ended up spending way too much and bought the Strategy First pack, Rainbow Six Vegas 2, Ultimate Doom, and Brothers in Arms: Road to Hill 30.

Sorry if this doesn't belong here in advance, just thought people should know.

You might want to download it anyways. They have some decent old stuff now too (though it's in the minority). If you're a strategy ***** like me they've got Jagged Alliance 2 and a few other older strategy games, and you can pick up Ultimate Doom for 1 dollar (unlike the 10 dollar price tag it usually has). Unless your computer is complete garbage you'll probably find something you can play.

The computer I have to use it eight years old and has trouble running Age of Empires 2.

Late reply but I picked up Far Cry 2 and Fallout 3 during the sale. I would have bought Bioshock but stupid *** Boston 2K has a region policy on Steam so I couldn't buy it. Before that I bought S.T.A.L.K.E.R. for $5 and Starscape for $9. I always try to pick up on deals on Steam, I think I might have saved around $100 with all the games I bought with discounts including the Orange Box if you count those games at their separate prices.
