I may be hosting YCBM 2 in around 2 weeks. I will let you all know if I am or not by tomorrow. If I do have it... there will be a Crew battle, teams, singles, and low tier. It will be sexy good times and I expect ALL of you to show up.

An early notice is needed because some people have to request off days from work. Some poor souls do have summer school/homework to worry about. Also, two huge tourneys (FC and OC) will take place in a couple weeks, and some Houston players are traveling to either/both...

Then stop complaining that there are no tournaments. I am trying to provide one and all I get in return is negativity. In between July 14th and July 17th is the only time I can host one, so take it or leave it.
I don't see anyone else trying at all to host a tourney, so until you do one, please don't bite my head off, I am only trying to help here.

Whoa there Ronnie, I wasn't complain'. I was trying to give ya some support. You were a couple of posts away from being ganged up on. I appreciate that you are trying to set up a tournament and I will be there on what ever date you choose.

I'am going to be in the galveston area for awhile ( a month at the most). Anyone that lives close by can give me a call and I'll go to their place and smash. I know that mouf lives somewhere around there and TGM. so come on guys let me know when your free. i won't have acces to a computer over at galveston, so by phone is the only way to reach me. Come on people we need to get better. (mainly me lol)

heh, that's about how much venues cost now-n-days too. I looked at my old high school and it was like 400$ a day or something stupid (Waller High School aka "the barn")...
However, there is this place in Magnolia (The Magnolia Community Center) that I looked at back in March that would cost $200 a day (only $100 if left clean) and we could hold tourneys there but it need to be reserved at least a month in advance, and it's a decent size.
See, Magnolia took steps to fix the situation a long time ago and has constantly done so, even up till now, and we're constantly going to tourneys OOC (Houston, SA, Dallas, Austin, etc.).
3000, How come we never saw you back at EVO? We looked around on smash day, did you only go to play Guilty Gear? XZalla had to take on the daunting task of reppin Houston (which he did quite well)
I think from Houston though, people like TGM, Mouf, Ronnie, JakeThirteen, Mr. 3000, are all like exemt from the Houton problem , or at least should be.
I think the biggest problem for Houston has been the lack of Rayzorium! And those other smashers from those days that I don't even know. Oh, and Scav's sorta cool, in an english major sort of way, those people would make the scene much better.
There's venues around, we just haven't tapped into them much, and we've been doing small tourneys at people's houses or smashfests. We just need to make state-wide tourneys once like every 2 months, then they'rd be less b****ing. 3000 found that one, Jake has a possible one by his house (note, these would all cost money, but 5$ entry fee... come on, we can all handle that, like 3000 said, stop MMing so dam much), the Magnolia Center (which we almost and should of had a large tourney at in June)...

Yea, ya couldn't find me Velox because...yes, I only participated in Guilty Gear tourney. Fortunately, Guilty Gear is my main and I Smash for fun. Goodness! How good would I be if I played it as a main.

I need more Fox practice, and I hear you live nearby now (otherside of Tomball/Spring area), if so, you should PM me back so we can play. I might bring Cesar/some other Magnolia joker...

Status Report on myself for anyone who cares.
I've been talking it over with this dude I know and Im getting my car. Its a "98"Chrysler Sebring. Anyway Im paying 3,500$ for it. Im actually putting down 1,000$ and paying 300$ more a month...long story short I should have it soon. Only thing holden me back now is insurance...and Im currently working on that with my mom as of now. Basically this means I'll be another smasher in the community with a car. So I can take anyone who has gas$ and is also in my area... Also. I might no somewhere we can play too. Iv been talking it over with a friend who has a "play house"...big enough for I'd say 20-30 people. Plenty of outlets and space for t.v's and cube...dont jump to conclusions though...im still talkin it over.
