I think this is a great discussion to bring up. How will the Brawlers be brought to life in this installment?

I believe statues are the way to go, unless, you know, they are cryogenically frozen.

It's not like it's a tradition or anything. The toys weren't anything like the trophys.

but Master Hand brings them to life through an inanimate object...

I chose Statues as my decision as this game is going to be HUGE, so why not use something bold and massive as the inanimate object?

I actually wish they would return to dolls, as I think the characters re-modeled as plush dolls with stitching and everything would be a really cool effect. Although, it would also be extra model work that's probably uncalled for...

Chances are they'll stick with the trophies, because it worked so well in Melee that Nintendo started cloning it in other games as a collectable side-quest. It almost seems like they wouldn't go back.

You may have heard someone mention it another topic.

That would be cool, and would make for a VERY interesting opening video.

Camera would pan to the paintings, the paintings would depict a fight, and it would zoom in and the fighting will come to life.

They're 3D figures you turn around and observe, they have descriptions, you can change the background to make them look even cooler...
You could even change the background music.
The only thing that I think could make the trophies any cooler is if they added some type of effect to the game in some way (though that would probably be too complex and crazy) or if they added some sort of sound effects to them--you know, like those sound-enhanced bottlecap trophies, or some such.

Cards are overdone. I really hope they don't do those. Trophies and statues are the most interesting I think.

For Statues, The view room could be a giant temple like on pits stage that you can move the camera through to see them all. :O

So far, i think statues are the best. But you know how in the trailer, they have like, melee graphics, then that light shines down them and they transform into brawl graphics. Could that have something to do with it?

Statues? Too much like trophies, Cards? Yeah, overdone, Art? Hmm..better but still gotta go with the old favourite toys to be honest, they were kickass.

I think it should be something in beween cards and trophies.

Cards should definantly be used to commemerate nintendo's orgins, also, how cool woluld it be to pull them from a deck, or do other card like things.

However, it's defiantly necessary to have the 3d feature, so I'm thinking cards that project or creat a 3d image.

It couldn't be daoll's, because if we are following the melee tradition of having trophies of all kinds of things, rather than only the brawlers.

my ideas on how to immortalize the fighters:
1.holograms (it's cool to me~)
2.8-bit sprites (ahahaha retro/oldskewl~)
3.low-res 3d models (think 64/32 bit)
4.video game cartridge for their first appearrance (omfg i WANT this one!)

i'll think of more, possibly in sets of 4, like i did this one~

I would like trophies back again, I thought they were cool and I liked collecting them. But I wouldn't mind something else as long as they are collectable because it gives me something to actually do in the single player.

Yeah, some of you have said it already. If they were smart they'd use playing cards, that way then can make real ones and sell them and make a ton more money.
