How to teach someone to play smash!?

Alright, so I have a friend who wants to learn how to play melee, and idk what to do lol. I've been playing this game for 10 years and they are just getting started and I don't remember what the first things I learned were, what was fun or whatever. Are there any threads on this issue or do people have suggestions on like a "lesson plan" of sorts. Like where do you start and what do you teach? cuz rn everything I'm teaching is overwhelming and I feel like the person is just not gonna want to play because I intimidate them I guess.
