How to play against non FFers? (Floaties)

Hi,
I'm having trouble playing against floaties/more floaty characters (Marth, Peach, Mario, Luigi). I'm trying to find some guaranteed comboes like pillars against FF'ers, but I can't find anything. I've tried shine to falling u-air only first hit and stuff, but still nothing; tried it on lv 9 comps and they just hit me out of it. I know I have to camp out a lot, and go for shorter comboes. I also thought of using d-air to u-tilt, since shine doesn't really lead to anything. How does PP/Zhu/Shiz combo a floaty? How do you play against floaties in general? Thanks!

EDIT: The comboes I'm wondering about are on flat stages, cause platforms help a lot when comboing. I now know that I can use shine full hop d-air if there are platforms above me, but not on the top platform unless I'm firebirding

Dair techchase. IDK I'm not too good vs floaties either. I would say just try and get a little combo and get the hell out of there. Let them come to you.

Falco combos EVERYBODY

shine dair shine/utilt etc. still works

dair techchases are godlike

dtilt, utilt, shine are all **** launchers

you shouldn't have any trouble comboing anybody. even Jiggs can be combo'd by Falco.

TBH I think I'd be ***** against Peach just with d-smash alone, I'd probably go Jiggs.

Yeah I realized I play Falco for the tech skill overload combo non-stop in the zone thing. Not that good with waiting, although I should try d-airs. Trying to do the non-stop stuff against the floaties is 2 hard

you should dair tech chase and replace shine with up tilt for alot of your combos. and anytime you dair, if they miss the tech you can d smash or d tilt to kill. another good combo vs floaties is up throw --> shine to kill off the top. this is alot better vs peach/ puff over sheik/ marth tho.

I've been hitting up a quite a few friendlies with Luigis and Shieks nonstop recently. One thing I can say of survival, is to stay out of the air and don't get too close. Laser and tilt to approach if you can't SHFFL your way in.

As for combos, everyone here has pretty much covered most of it. Another thing I find to work is SHFFL aerial > Shine, then proceed to shieldbreak if they shield you which is often what happens. But when you get them in the air, I haven't been able to really combo more than 3 hits on Marth/Shiek. Just follow the launch with a bair/nair. If the DI is right, go for an uair and leave it alone.

Don't worry about comboing as much as WHEN to go for things.

Marth, Samus, Luigi, those are COMPLETELY different.

The combos will come if you get them, pretty standard but you might have to end them with the finishers before they're 'finished'

If you go for it against one of those characters at the wrong time, that's when you get punished for trying to combo a floaty vs a fally.

You CAN be non-stop-overload
You just have to do it differently. Remember, they're slower, but comver more space. If you cover SPACE with your overload instead of cover TIME, you're taking their TIME away too.

Strange concept to get, but try different things. :D

Ok, been playing some hardcore smash a lot in university with the best ppl in Calgary. My u-tilt theory works so well lol, it's such a good move. Crossover to u-tilt shield pressure. I like to throw in an u-smash in there, with a SHFFL'ed u-air which leads to any shine to attack combo. Mainly I realized it was just my spacing got a lot better, and I didn't rush head first into Ganon f-airs or anything.

utilts all day. watch pp play hbox or something.

upthrow can lead to dairs/uairs.

uptilts or shine to dairs then techchase...

sometimes can do silly things like nair wall them or some running reverse bairs n stuff.
