How to iDA on 3DS (w/o C-sticking)

Here's how you do it:

Dash, let go of the Circle Pad, press attack.

It's possible to start a DA at frame 2 this way, but you'll need super-quick fingers to do so.

The game reads the series of inputs as follows:

Frame 1 , Frame 2 + = Fsmash

Frame 1 , Frame 2 = Dash Attack

Unfortunately, though, since the buffering-system is different in this game, you can't buffer a frame 1 iDA.

Something that may be easier or come more naturally is to hold down before or at the same time as A.

You can instantly dash attack by doing a 'reverse hadouken motion' then pressing A.
It's a weird input for a smash game but once you get used to it it's pretty good.
