Kinda sad today since my wiimote broke a while ago :( anyway, I don't want that to happen again, so is there a way to boot Brawl+ directly after pressing power, or is there a menu that can be navigated via GC controller?

Gotta note again the presence of Ocarina codes

Thanks

(Wii 3.3E with HBC installed)

use bootmii. google it.

with it, you can go directly to the homebrew channel (where you can navigate with the gcn controller)

...or you could just buy a new wiimote. >.>

If you install bootmii as boot2, you can go directly to the HBC with a GC controller.

For information on bootmii, google it

I use BootMii and Preloader. I have bootmii patch the system to always go straight to HBC when the console wants to go to system menu.

They're both handy to have.

But yea. Just boot directly into HBC and use Gecko OS. You never need to touch a remote that way.

Actually, I'm planning to borrow my friends wiimote for maybe a day or two just to have it installed =D

I'm gonna install both I guess, oh I have 4 more questions:

1 Which one should I install first?
2 Should I back up my SD card before installing?
3 Is it safe on 3.3E ?
4 Is Bootmii and Preloader allowed in Tourneys? (just curious lmao)

lawl I think I can't touch my MM9 and Bomberman till I buy another Wiimote XD

I don't really recommend Preloader, but thats my opinion

1. BootMii
2. No
3. Yes
4. Yes

For an added bonus, download BootMii Configuration Editor from Homebrew Browser, (after installing BootMii) set it to go to the Homebrew Channel after 0 seconds, so when you hit Power, it goes straight to HBC without any interaction.

1. I installed preloader than bootmii.
2. Nah. You're straight.
3. Should be. Idk, I have 3.2U.
4. Why wouldnt it be? I use my set up in tourneys alot.

And install WiiMu which is a homebrew app that lets you navigate your channels. Use that to boot your other channels. Or you can use the latest verison of Gecko OS to load your game channels.

so is bootmii safe? I'm considering installing it. I HATE having to find a Wii mote just to play, it sucks.

It's actually like installing an anti-virus on your Wii !! =D
It works on all version 4.0 and below
Wow, that's excellent!!! Yeah, I have somehting like 3.3 or 3.2U, so that's great!

IT's very very safe.
Awesome!

So, is it complex to use? Like, I'd obviously want it to automatically jump to Homebrew, negating the need for Wii-motes, does it automatically do that or do I need to do something?

I'll have to install this after a meeting I have soon. :D

All you do is install it as boot2 and then when you turn on your wii it goes straight to the bootmii menu which you can navigate using a GC controller (and it has a tab thing to go to homebrew)

I forget. Did they ever get this working for LU64 Wiis? I can only launch Bootmii from the Homebrew Channel instead of the Homebrew Channel booting before the System Menu.

It's really easy. and pretty much defeats the purpose of the idea of brawl+ getting its own channel.

To clear things up.

Preloader does NOT work on any 3.3 region.
Preloader is only for 3.2, 4.0, and 4.1
If I were you I would just official nintendo update,
Re install HBC/DVDx/Bootmii with Bannerbomb

Run TruchaBugRestorer and get the truchabug,

Install cIOS 12-14 of your choice.

Use Dop-IOS to sig hash check and patch IOS 60

Install preloader BEFORE going out to the system menu.

(Make sure you to have the hacks.ini for your systems region and menu.)

Enable your preffered hacks and youre done :D

Oh and before you start make sure to make a bootmii nand back up :D

I'm such an idiot. I'm not sure how to set up Bootmii beta 3 to install it. I downloaded said file from the website... now what?

Where do I put it on my SD card? What do I have to do?

oh, sorry. by easy I meant like navigating the menu. I'll help you out...

lemme get a link. what I did was, use this certain method to install homebrew, and after that it gives you an option if you want to install bootmii. I installed it as a certain thing and it works. lemme get that homebrew method link. (even though it's not allowe, I don't care)

edit: here it is http://allisbrawl.com/forum/topic.aspx?id=89510

Thanks Sage! I'm checking out the link right now. I already have Home Brew, perhaps it can be updated from on my Wii. ;D

I got it because homebrew said that it needed to update, and on the menu there was an option to get bootmii.
interesting.

Bootmii(Hackmii installer) 3 has the nand dump messed up.

If you're not good with hex editing I suggest you use Hackmii installer 2 and not 3.

I have 2 just incase if you need the elf file :D
Just pm me if you need it.

In relation to the topic, i'm wondering if its possible to use ocarina to bind the Classic Controller Keys to the GC Keys (So that I can play Wiimote/Nunchuck/Classic Controller Games by just using my GC Controller)

If you complain about the motion, maybe someone can recalibrate that into the Gamecube's C-Stick
Plus I think I can use that for those non-motioned Wii Games
