Hmm. Well 1st of all, check the video thread, and watch some of our other Ganons fight TL. Even tho theres only a few, u may b able 2 pick up on something by watching em.

As for my own tips..
* ForwardB ownz TL pretty well. Near the edge mayb around 100% if u get a hold on em, Choke > Ftilt will kill.
Also u can follow up with Dtilt, which killz around mayb mid 100s or a lil lower when fresh.

* I think approachin wit SHAD's work especially well on TL. 4 example, lotta TL's I fight like 2 do retreating Nairs/Fairs/w.e, Nto Bow cancels. So shielding the arieal, then SHADing through the arrow seems 2 work pretty well. I like 2 Buffer Jabs as I land btw..(Works well)

Umm.. Everything else iz obvious I guess. Hopefully that helped. Gl.

This match requires you to roll dodge a lot, in order to avoid Toon Link's obvious and predictable projectiles and close range, it's nice to keep your distance with Uair and try to predict when Toon Link will use Dair, as it used a lot, and spot dodge so you don't get blown away from the impact and just follow up from there. His recovery leaves his top open, a good place to land a Dair on.

nice

He does do this thing where he short hops then 2 bairs. Then lands with little lag then does it again until im off the stage then either uair or fair or nair for the kill. Any ideas how to avoid that. Its hard to even dodge out of it. Is DI the only hope. Or just not letting him hit with it in general.

If u get stuck in that u cud either try DIing N front of em, or u cud try fast falling below em.
Bes hope iz 2 jus DI bes u can, and make sure u keep yur double jump handy, dont waste it N between Bairs.

Good TLs rarely use dair as it can lead to suicide, even if used onstage, the end lag can lead to punishment and Ganon punishing TL might cost him a stock

Obviously you've never played a good toon link before, a good TL won't use dair unless they footstool you first. Dairing on and offstage is too risky.

yah ninjaconker almost never uses dair off the edge, or on the edge as a matter of fact.

Unless he 100% sure he'll hit.
Which always does.

Any other advice besides no aerial wiz kick?

Get hit less. Hit him more. Learn how to do the guaranteed combos from Murder Choke. Thunderstorm more. Blahblahblahblahblah.

i've just faced him so much he's figured out ways out of my combo's.

plus toon link is such an annoying character to use ganon against. ( in my opinion) The projectiles and sword get really annoying. I just need new tactics to face him with.

Um.....if you're doing the Murder Choke followups right, he shouldn't be able to escape. I suggest checking Swoop's guide.

k ill check it out

It says i can hit toon link with dtilt after a choke.
However if he rolls or attacks right after the move is done he can dodge it. Thus ruining the guaranteed combos.

Um....that's only if you don't hit him with it first. Trust me, if you learn how to buffer dtilt, you will.

Yea the only thing is is that while facing a sword charcter aerial game decreases due to the swords range.

The thunder game I do agree needs work on.
Ill work on that dtilt too

i was in a tourny recently that was LoZ characters only. i used ganon and nearly all my matches were against TL. my advice is do not get above toonlink. he will **** you with aerials. what i did was tryd to keep TL in the air and take advantage of predictable Dairs. when TL is on the ground i try to get past his projectiles and outrange him with Dtilt. basicly its ganons ground game against TL's air game. only going for aerials if theres little risk.

Yah I try to get away from his strong airs, however ninjaconker rarly uses dair (since its a terrible move) so I can't use it to my advantage too much. The projectiles get annoying too. Since TL's faster he can really rack up some damage with retreating projectiles. I got to work on beating him on the ground and dodging the projectiles.

Thanks for the advice

Okay, I only watched like 2 minutes of the first video, but I already noticed two things that just pop out and keep occurring over and over again.

Spacing: your spacing is crazy. You're rolling EVERYWHERE, and that toon link is just following your rolls and punishing you. Walking, running, short hopping, short hop air dodging, fox trot, and even thunderstorming are viable ways to cover ground as ganondorf and tune your spacing infinitely more precisely than just rolling around.

Gerudo Follow-ups
: Just to elaborate on what people said above. First, know what follow-ups are guaranteed. Second, if you play this guy a lot, you must have noticed patterns in his gerudo get-up maneuvers. Does he use a get up attack? Walk a little bit away from him then catch him in a gerudo again out of his get up animation. Does he roll towards you a lot? Trounce on his head with a dair out of his roll. You get the idea. This process has a lot to do with spacing yet again.

Yea i got to work on NOT rolling as much. The thing is, is thats how i was brought up, not sheilding or spotdodging. I havent really paid attention to his after gerudo move so I probably should look and base my attack off of that. Ill see what I can do when I face him again. (like in a few days)
