You can't double missile unless you mean when someone lands right after shooting a missile (known as a missile cancel) and then does another one right after.

There should be a guide on super wavedashing in the Samus forums.

For wavedashing and other advanced techniques that you will see in virtually all game play today, you should watch, study, and practice from these videos:
Advanced: How to Play 1
Advanced: How to Play 2
Advanced: How to Play 3

Don't get frustrated if you don't get something the first time. Melee is all about practice, practice, practice, especially when you are first starting out. Once you get the basics down the game gets MUCH more fun, which is saying something because it's pretty amazing for casual play. lol Good luck! ^_^

Yeah, it takes months to "perfect" and yet even then, you wont have it 100% down pat.

Take it steps at a time, dont bite off more then you can chew, dont become discouraged, when you go to tournaments, and get *****(which will happen). Many of the people you play will have been playing for years.

From my experience, introducing people who have been playing for a long time casually can somewhat be harder. They already know the basic controls, but some people have a VERY difficult time accepting that their home-grown strategies are actually really bad. A lot of players destroy everyone in their neighborhood with stuff like shield grabbing or crouch cancelling only to find that it gets them wrecked. Just try to be open minded about EVERYTHING you've ever considered to be good or bad. It isn't rare for people to just give up on learning new stuff because they are more comfortable with the same strategies they've been using for several years even if it causes them to lose game after game.

I like what Bones0 said, when I first playing Melee with my cousin I always used link and would just crouch cancel, down-throw to Up-B, but that doesnt work really in the competitive scene...
