*note*This tutorial doesn't have snow part...yet

I've been meaning to do a guide on this for some time but just haven't had the time to but never had the time to.
But let's started shall we?

Step 1 :
Download this file as it is the only working rain model that i know of to work so far

Step 2:
Find the stage you want to add rain to for this tutorial i'm using battlefield

Step 3:
Open the file in brawlbox and look for a model data to replace for this i'm using model data 9 :

Step 4:
Replace the model data and export the texture inside so it won't mess up and then import it to texture data [0]:

once you import it rename like it is in the rain model brres

Step 5:
once you have done all that test it in-game to see how it looks:

Ta-da you have successfully added rain to your stage but it doesn't look to good though i'll show you how to fix it

*note the rest of the tutorial for rain is either how to make it look better and tips if it looks good in game then you're good to go if not the keep reading!*

Step 6:
If there's lighting from a stage you like try using it to see if you get better results i'm going to use the lighting from Shadow Moses Island as a example

Step 7:
Open open the file for Shadow Moses Island *stage name is metalgear in the data partition* in Brawlbox and scroll until you see something called scene data[0] export it:

Step 8:
Now that you have exported it open the stage you're adding rain too in Brawlbox and find the scene data[0] and replace it with the Shadow Moses's one:

Step 9:
Now this step is interesting if you try it out in-game and it freezes check the orginal scene data as it might be caused by that like in Delfino Plaza:

But if that's not the case then rename one of the snow lighting to STGbattlefield00 *or whatever the name is inside the scene data* and then preview it in-game:

Depending on which snow lighting you choose you will get different results

Hope this helped!
Have some things to add to this but for now here's the basics to add rain/snow to stages
Have any questions feel free ask me via pm or here

It is but depending on the stage can be quite difficult to to add rain to a stage such as Delfino Plaza
There's a one more way to add rain to stages problem is it's semi-complicated but i'll add that part in later

How do you change the rain and snow models or their textures or something? Is it just as simple as just replacing them...? I saw that Green Hill Zone texture with the rings falling from the sky... is that an example of this?

Good question. I'd like to know as well. I have an idea for a very depressing stage but I may want to change the rain to... let's say pretzels.

Does the black in the texture represent transparency...? I want to change the texture, but it looks like it should be transparent and I can't change it back from black...

I'm actually not too sure on that part as i haven't really tinkered with the texture for rain much i'd say try it see if it works report back if it does/doesn't work
And i really need to touch up this guide probably do that tomorrow
