How should friendlies be played?

Friendlies should generally be playing to learn. What that means is that this is the time that you take to experiment with things that you don't normally do in order to figure out if they're worthwhile for use in a tournament match.


That way you can get the most out of your friendlies since it's a competitive situation with no real risk.

I try to teach my opponent. I play several different characters, and I basically spam what works until it stops working anymore. Against some players, it takes 2 stocks. Against others, several matches. Then there's the people who are better than me. If it's close I'll play to win and ask for advice and try to improve. If they're like pro or something I'll basically waste their time going for ridiculous **** so I can at least claim some sort of moral victory.
