I'd be fine with $1 for a 2 costume pack. Anything more would be ridiculous from Nintendo.

Yeah but League is F2P. My issue is that you're paying $60 for a game and then if there are extra cosmetic features that you want to add, you'll be spending more money (granted games like -insert contemporary fighting game here- usually have economical prices for pallete swaps but most of the time they're already on the disc and need to be unlocked by spending more money). I'd rather they just make a bunch of alternate costumes and add them to the game and make them unlockable features a la that grid that was in Brawl and Kirby's Air Ride.
Well naturally unlockable > paid dlc or even dlc > paid dlc, but i still don't see anything wrong with costumes costing money. Characters on the other hand, i'd be miffed about. But i'd still buy them...

Idk...if one dlc character ends up being high tier you know the sparks are gonna fly
In the event that happens, I'm sure everyone will end up purchasing that character.

One of my things is just hoping that Nintendo will profit a great deal from this (and good lord do they need it). There's a lot more to be made from Characters/stages than costumes. While I'm sure I'd end up purchasing a few that I like myself, for Smash, it just feels right to have them as unlockables. Sakurai has been revealing a fair amount of costumes/palette swaps for characters lately and it would suck to end up having to pay for those. Although, I'm pretty sure we won't have to, with the alt costumes and palette swaps characters we seem to be getting, there really won't be too much a desire for any more than that.

So no shrek ears? :( it would be frustrating to have to pay for stuff that's already been revealed as part of the original package.

You could pay for the Shrek ears if you want to. Personally, my body would be so unready that my money would never make it to the screen.

And it would be, but don't worry about that. That won't be the case.

Microtransactions are the bane of DLC. I really hope they don't become lazy when it comes to costumes. PMBR proves what can be done. It's a missed opportunity for fan service.

I wouldn't mind a little $1.00 costume pack similar to how Phoenix Wright did it.

Any more than that isn't worth it.

It varies, but if I gave a number I'd say 20 dollars is my limit, and that's only if it gets me a lot of content.

Since this is a crossover, and I'm familiar with every character, I'd imagine the costumes they would offer would be something I thought of before, instead of something random like what Street Fighter normally offers. So I would definitely be willing to pay for all of them in that case.
That said, I'm not sure if I'd buy everything if they were insanely priced...though I know i'd pay any amount if they offered DoA fanservicy-like costumes (like Chrom's swimsuit *blush*). But hopefully it won't come to that.

If they made one for my characters and it was something unique like a model update or a particles effort with or without a model change then I would throw a few dollars that way if I felt it was cool enough. I know I've already spent a small chunk of cash on lolz skins so why wouldn't I do it for smash?

I could see it happening one of two ways:
Pallet swaps: free-1.00$ Alts: 1.00$-2.00$ (2.00$ if its a new character altogether like a Daisy costume for Peach)
Or
Themed costume packs 2.00$-5.00$ Depending on how many characters are included.
Examples:Mario Strikers Alt Costume Pack for Mario, Luigi, Yoshi, Peach, and Bowser; OoT Alt. Costume Pack for Link, Zelda, Ganon, and Sheik; Star Fox Assault Alt Costumes for Fox, Falco, and Wolf.

Why does the Striker pack not come with DK and Diddy, and Wario skins?

Lol I forgot about them for a moment, but it was an example.:colorful: If it ever were to happen I'm pretty sure it'd include them.
