Most?Do you think some companies actually pay nintendo to have a character in? Some are also owned by Nintendo, so I assume not expensive as you may imagine.
In other news I saw the toilet thread was still on the first page and I just went uuugghh
Yeh, because Nintendo is swimming on dollars because they are at the top of the gaming industry right? They've got all the money
But of courseYeh, because Nintendo is swimming on dollars because they are at the top of the gaming industry right?
Nintendo has 16 billion in the bank. So if they wanted to swim I'm sure they could.Yeh, because Nintendo is swimming on dollars because they are at the top of the gaming industry right?
Still they are behind from their competitors.Nintendo has 16 billion in the bank. So if they wanted to swim I'm sure they could.
The game itself probably has a few million thrown at it, but there's also all the costs from merch and publicity.
Pac-man was probably 'free', since Namco is developing the game; Sonic I have no idea, could go either way; and Capcom wouldn't pay to have Mega Man in any game when they're actively trying to kill him.Do you think some companies actually pay nintendo to have a character in? Let's be clear about one thing. The 3DS is not doing poorly. Smash does not need to save it.It s worrysome that Nintendo is aiming for Smash to save the 2 consoles.
Says alot about how those consoles fared in the market
The 3DS doesn't need saving. As far as the Wii U goes, it needs more than Smash to really be "saved," depending on what your definition of saved happens to be.It s worrysome that Nintendo is aiming for Smash to save the 2 consoles.

I don't think there was any confirmation regarding that, but the game definitely has a high budget. However, I think Xenoblade Chronicles X surpasses it. The production values for both games seem to be similar, but Japanese RPGs generally tend to be really expensive due to localization. It's also heavily story-driven, so there's a lot of translation and voice acting to be done, which Zelda doesn't have.Zelda Wii U is confirmed to have the highest budget of any Nintendo game ever made. My guess is that the budget is around 5-10 million for both the Wii U and 3DS versions.
The 3DS has already reached its saturation point worldwide, so it doesn't need saving. If anything, the 3DS will already have cannibalized Wii U sales since people will prioritize more on the handheld version. It s worrysome that Nintendo is aiming for Smash to save the 2 consoles.

The Old Republic cost more like 200 million.Well Star Wars The Old Republic holds the record with a ten million dollar budget. I don't see this game coming even close.

Isn't Destiny at $500 million. I can literally guarantee that smash bros won't beat it budgetwise. The Old Republic cost more like 200 million.
You're probably right. The Old Republic cost more like 200 million.
Last time I heard SWTOR was the record holder but Destiny could have surpassed it.Isn't Destiny at $500 million. I can literally guarantee that smash bros won't beat it budgetwise.
The $500 million figure covers future games in the Destiny franchise as well.Isn't Destiny at $500 million. I can literally guarantee that smash bros won't beat it budgetwise.
Brawl certainly has a big soundtrack—which looks to be the same for this game—but not all of them were composed during Brawl's development. Some were arranged and remixed, and I suppose the quality put into it makes it relatively costly, but not much.I've always wondered about Nintendo's budget on their games.
They have so many games in production all the time, so the budget has to be divided between all of them.
This game will probably have an insanely huge soundtrack like brawl, how much does an orchestra cost? Should we factor in the development of Amiibo's as well?
