So I was thinking about how long it will take to unlock everything in Brawl. The reason is that me and my friends are getting together on Friday to play smash and I would like to have all characters unlocked by then. But I started thinking about how long it will take to unlock everything. I figure a minim of 10hours to unlock almost everything. If they say the SE is 10hours long then I figure 5 and another 5 for target and so forth. My though is 10hr on easy for all characters and some stages. What do you guys thing? 5hr 10hr 20hr? let me know

Define everything. If its just chars, maybe a day, unless theres one where you need to play a certain # of vs matches.

Now if you mean EVERYTHING. That'll take months.

If the unlocks in Melee meant anything, it can take a while to unlock everything. I'm sure you unlock a few characters by playing every other character in Classic, another few in SSE, another few on time unlocks, another few by Event mode matches, etc. Stages are probably the same way.

Now we don't exactly know what all there is to unlock either. We know of music, stages, and characters, but what if we had to unlock ATs as well? New modes? Stage editor pieces?

We really can't detirmine the entire time it will take to unlock everything until it comes out.
As for a guess, 20 hours for characters if its anything like Melee's unlock system as well, less with friends. Not even going to guess unlocks for anything else.

I can unlock every stage and character in Melee in a day, Brawl might take two or so.

I bet to get all characters would take a day, please don't forget how fun stage builder will be and how fast you will get detracted by it. I bet you could get everything, besides trophies, etc by a week.

Depends on type of gamer you are. Some play the game the minute thet get it nonstop and some would play, take a break and repat those two steps. Anyway I think it would take a week at most to unlock everything.

1-2 days for the char-roster.. really depends on the bizzare requirements in brawl.

Well, most of the characters can be unlocked in the, apprently, 10 hour long SSE. I'd imagine a few characters would still be unlockable via Event Matches, which depends on what they are and how difficult they are.

So, really, it all depends.

Well, it took me about a year to unlock all the characters (11); all the stages (11); all the miscelaneus stuff (all star, sound test and score display); almost all the trophies (****it diskun was too hard!) which are 289; 41 events; complete All star, Classic and Adventure with 25 characters; and beat all target tests.

Seeing how brawl will have more characters , more stages, more secret modes, more and new trophies; in addition to complete all the new modes with ALL the characters, as well the SSE, stickers, stage builder pieces (if there are), and CDs; and supossing alternate costumes are in and unlockable, this game is reaaaaaally going to take me a while O_o

again, how are we supposed to know how long it friggn takes....we can only predict. Don't ask such questions that you can't get an exact answer to. If you just want the characters, just play your longest on the game.

Hmm, I'd thing about a week to a month to unlock EVERYTHING.
To unlock all the characters: 3 days
To unlock Cpt.Falcon: 2 hours, people will be hunting everywhere for him

Calm down dude it just a question so we can talk about. I never asked for an exact answer, I asked for your thoughts.

It took me a week to get the sound test in Melee, and I'm still missing 2 trophies, tough I don't have it since the release.
I'm guessing it will take (for me at least) something like a month to unlock all characters and stages and complete all modes.
