How do you use your fireballs?

I rarely use fireballs unless I'm playing someone like Snake, Metaknight, Ike, or Bowser who doesn't have very obvious answers to Fireballs.

Usually I forget to fireball camp at the beginning of a match because it's boring and I like to take advantage of Mario's speed and mixups. But when I do fireball camp, I usually fullhop them.

I spam fireballs continously until my opponent gets the opportunity to approach and attack me. Apparently, some think I use fireballs a bit too much lol.
