how do you record smash bros fights??

Hey everyone!!
I've seen numerous brawl battles online and I've been thinking of trying to post some of my battles online....but I have no idea how to record them! I've saved some on the SD but its pretty useless because it only records 3 minutes...Can someone please tell me how they record their battles. Like just the battle itself...not like a camera in front of the TV
