After playing chess today I reliazed how I play and understand how it has related to how I play in other games.

My first thing I try to do in chess is to start my defense up, many people have told me that I have a good defense start up however this is merely how I start. I then try to move so I controll more of the board or to put myself in the worse place I can for them to make sure they make mistakes. like if they are about to take my queen or whatever I'll move a different piece to a place where if they don't move back or something else they'll lose something hollow out their insides.

In smash i'll come in and not approach for about 10 secs waiting for their first move (minus falco lasers or other safe moves) I will take what i've learned from the begining and throw out an apporach spaced well like a fox's nair I will next time do a different approach like a sh wl or turn around sh wl run nair/bair from spot mixed with other approaches I work on tearing down any form of walls they have.

I would like to see other people's self reveiws on how they play

I bet you move your pieces too.

No clearly what we have here is that you don't want to give away the refined details of your graceful swinging movement of your sword and you can't merely wrap up your lifes work in anything less than something we ourselfes would have to try to read into.

If I move the words around I can see that you" generally, I swing my pretty sword." which with changed around order we can see you likely are a man master of small talk and like to keep to politce.

also pretty sword doesn't seem like a long sword I hope you are comfortable with how you were made and that you aren't hinting to something.

get on my level if you can

Some advice on chess:
you want to play a safe opening in the way of not sacrificing material (without gaining advantage in tempo), but you don't want to be defensive at the cost of giving up precious controlled space.
In Melee you don't lose to much if you don't throw out moves from the beginning onwards, or try to attack right away (at least I think so, that is ofc assuming you don't have to give up center stage in order to do so =) ). If you allow your opponent two or three moves gaining advantage in chess while not doing anything yourself, you've lost the match (at a somewhat decent level of play that is).

My gameplay is based off general smash knowledge, and general fighting game knowledge. I'm not a very special or standout player, I just do good stuff as often as possible, but I mix in my own personal style and gimmicks into my gameplay.

I am probably the most straightforward player on the planet.

I dogmatically throw bread and butter maneuvers at my opponent.

I don't adapt quickly.

I run arund the stage as falcon spacing around on platofrms and shffl nairs and uairs and wave dash/land then I strike my oppenant when the opportunity is golden. and once I get a kill, I just do it all over again except fancier. Looking flashy and doing it well helps my confidence in the game

i just spam nairs and shines with fox

as falcon i tech chase with falcon kick, approach with stomp, edgeguard with running dash attack -> fall off ledge -> instant walljump -> knee, and combo with only stomp, usmash, and side b

as marth i refuse to approach and powershield as many lasers as i can then when they approach me wd back grab, down smash tech chase until 90%, and then tech chase into a reverse up-b, i then always edgeguard only with dancing blade and up-b

C. Falcon

dash across stage -> jump over opponent's head -> aerial reverse falcon punch

repeat

it'll hit eventually.
